Probably because Trump saw it on a Mercator scale map and wanted that huge island for himself.

We already have exclusive military rights there.
Denmark will be very surprised to learn of this.

Brilliant move. Once global warming really kicks in, Greenland will be prime real estate. It's like Lex Luthor's plan in Superman I.

Hope Hicks’ Attorney says she wasn’t calling Michael Cohen about Stormy Daniels on October 8. She was calling about the (alleged) pee tape. https://t.co/gLYy1h0nhr
I heard this reported when the transcript of her Congressional testimony was released. (It's also noted in the Mueller Report that the campaign was aware of rumors about the pee tape shortly after the Access Hollywood and first Wikileaks dump happened) She says all three of her calls with Michael Cohen on October 8, 2016 were about the pee tape, and she claims that Trump himself was on one of the calls. He's a known micromanager, so perhaps it's not totally out of the realm, but it seems an odd thing for him to be personally involved with if the thing was nonexistent.

It’s in the article... we have exclusive rights out of the northern most base....

I’d imagine it’ll matter to a far higher percent of people than it does now.

Nah. It just shifts back and forth to whatever party isn’t in power. They just use it to get their bases riled up for different reasons.

The pundits and pols on the right are screaming that we can't elect a D because they'll spend out of control and blow up the deficit. Meanwhile their guy is spending out of control and blowing up the deficit.

That's the difference. The Dem candidates say, "let's spend like crazy and worry about the consequences later" while the Rs say, "We're the responsible ones." Neither party cares.

That's not what it says, and would be inaccurate if it did. But I do not feel like pursuing this exchange any farther.

Obama legit couldn’t do one **** thing without the deficit being mentioned. The government shutdown multiple times during Obama’s time as President because the republicans worried about the deficit. The SEQUESTER . There was a thing called the tea party (now extinct).

The “liberal” media barely mentions the deficit. Barely mentions debt. Fox News would have a segment every 7 minutes on it.

It’s just not comparable. And you the idea that it can’t be admitted by so many on the right is **** laughable. Just admit it already

decades-old defense treaty between Denmark and the U.S. gives the U.S. military virtually unlimited rights in Greenland at America's northernmost base,
I’m sorry... unlimited rights. I’m so sorry I got those words wrong. What a giant mistake. The worst mistake I’ve ever done in my life.

The short-fingered vulgarian wants to get his hands on Greenland before China does.

No one on the right cares about the debt or deficit outside Rand Paul, Thomas Massie, and Justin Amash.

Depends on your definition of caring in this case.

Sure... I think the original contention was that Republicans piss and moan over the deficit when they're not the ones running the show, but when they are, they're silent on the matter. In fact, as you two put it, Mulvaney railed Obama over it, and now as Director of the Office of Management and Budget, he said... and I quote: "nobody cares."

I believe the argument that those on the right put forward here is that it's the exact same for Democrats. They are silent on the matter when they're in charge, and dodint and moan about it when they're not. I'd love to see the numbers in some way, some how, but I don't believe that to be true. I think, in general, they don't particularly care about it. I don't recall it being brought up much in the first few DNC debates. But maybe I missed those segments.
