Reminds me of the 1903 Red Sox throwback cap. Was literally just a plain white hat that cost nearly $40.

Hah, forgot she was wearing hers (not the white one).

Mine is fitted, and a size too small, so it's a wall-hanger.

I hate when that happens. I actually cut a small v notch out of the back of one of my hats rather than retire it. :face:

Yeah, this is the weekend when they have nicknames on their jerseys. I think the Pirates played in Williamsport for a game or two a few years ago.

This team belongs in a Little League town.

I miss the leadoff hitters ( Henderson, Coleman, Raines) that would swipe bases, like it was nothing.
I miss this bigly. I loved me some Tony Womack when I was a kid.
Raines and Coleman were absurdly fast in RBI Baseball. Half the time I would just bunt with Raines and proceed to make it home just by tricking the primitive AI

Dumb. One of the things I liked about the Yankees is that they kept their uniforms the same for so long. Then they caved along with everyone else.

RBI Baseball 3 was my first baseball video game. I was all about hitting bombs with Big Daddy Cecil.

I remember thinking Bases Loaded 3 was pretty awesome because it saved rosters and stats on the cartridge. So cool.

BL3 player editing feature was great, but I'll always have a soft spot for Baseball Simulator 1.000

Just came to post that. Nice. That's the first game I ever had the 'team building' mechanism. You could create the players and the team then go play a season with them. Lots of hours spent there.

Yankees-White Sox to Play Regular Season MLB Game at ‘Field of Dreams’ Site in 2020

https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/yan ... 24840.html
The Chicago White Sox and the New York Yankees will play a 2020 regular season Major League Baseball game at the site where “Field of Dreams” was filmed. Fox’s “MLB at ‘Field of Dreams'” event in Dyersville, Iowa, will not only be the first at the movie site turned tourist attraction, it will actually be the first ever Major League game ever played in Iowa. The Thursday, Aug. 13, 2020 game will be considered a White Sox home game with Fox’s coverage beginning at 7 p.m. ET and 6 p.m. CT. The following day will be an off-day, with the two teams resuming their three-game series back in Chicago on Saturday. Later this month, MLB will begin construction on a temporary 8,000-seat ballpark at the Dyersville site for the pro game. The plan is for a pathway through a cornfield to take fans to the ballpark, which will overlook the actual movie location, the league said. The right field wall will include windows to show the cornfields beyond the ballpark.

When I first saw this I was hoping they’d do it without making the ballpark... just play it on the field and it would be televised. But I guess it’s just going to be background?

The Phils claimed Jared Hughes off of waivers today. That is desperation.

I hope we get to see Hughes and S-Rod in a wild card play-in game.

Methinks the Phillies have turned it around. I don't think hiring Charlie Manuel back as the hitting coach was a magic elixir, but it seems to have sparked this team. Dammit.
