I'm glad he's not doing a vocal impression. He nailed the body language and smile, though.

Agreed, I'd rather have him just roll with his voice than do a weird impression.I'm glad he's not doing a vocal impression. He nailed the body language and smile, though.

yep, no question he's not going full on impression, which I'm perfectly fine with.I’m all in on this movie, but does Hanks sound a bit Gumpian in certain parts of the trailer?
OK, it wasn't just me. His voice is definitely distracting, because, well it sounds like vintage Hanks. Can't wait for it though.

My wife sent me a text, mturns out our house is in the trailer, neat. When Hanks hugs the reporter outside right before the title card with Tom Hanks on it. It's the exact sightline I have when I drive home every day so it was kind of unnerving.

That totally looks like a brand new Jeep in the background of that clip too.

Yeah there's also the UPMC sign on the steel building and apparently the WQED sign was a fairly recent addition that shouldn't be on the building during that time period. That totally looks like a brand new Jeep in the background of that clip too.

For our street they asked us to not street park cars if we could and to garage newer cars if possible. My daily driver is a 2002 so it's period correct anyway. They did some driving shots up and down the street so I'm curious if our car is in it, it's obscured by the hedges in the trailer. I had thought about parking the DMC at the end of the driveway but didn't want to be a jag.
That El Camino is part of the production setup, I've never seen it before or since.
For the hugging scene, off camera to the left just across the road was a crowd of about 50 neighbors that came out of the woodwork on the days that Hanks was there.

That looks great. I'm in. Also, Joblo it still a thing??

I'm not sure, that was the only trailer I saw on youtube, Taika had it on his twitter. Pretty funny how the have to hammer home how it is a satire because of how dumb people are

Mel Brooks made it okay to satirize Hitler in the 60s. If a Jewish guy who served in WWII says it's okay, I'm going to assume it's okay. As long as it's funny, of course.

It should be fun, I suppose. I just didn't realize people thought a sequel was necessary. I'm pretty sure they said everything that needed said in the first Zombieland.

I don’t know if I can get over my distaste for Jesse Eisenberg in order to watch Zombieland 2.

Odd music choice for the second half of that trailer, to put it mildly.

Quentin Tarantino’s exploitation has no place in Hollywood anymore

I didn't see any place to post comments on that article, which is probably for the best. Might seek out the Post's Facebook page to see if they promoted it there, that might be a fun rabbit hole to dive down.

Watched Reservoir Dogs last night. I probably haven't seen this in 10 years at least. I remember being blown away by it when I was a kid, now not so much, not my favorite of QTs. It's a pretty good movie, just didn't do for me what it once did. It's raw, nasty, and grim. Kinda caught me off guard with how mean it was. I kept thinking that it would actually make a pretty good play. First thing my kid said to me when he woke up today was, what movie did you watch? They swore a lot!
