Counter-point: The driver is a dingus; the people standing around filming are also culpable.

That's not really a counter-point. The people filming are also dinguses.

Well, by extension, for consuming the video you're also in that chain of culpability so I expected at least some pushback.

IANAL.

There's a good chance that this is the rear end of the C8. If so, woof.

Yeah, that was my first thought. It's a Camaro with a bad aftermarket body kit.

His wife (or significant other I presume) yelling at him and telling him to "FAWK OFF" towards the end of the video is a nice bonus.Watched that this morning. What a dingus.

I was behind a new Lexus IS 300 yesterday and thought to myself, damn, that’s actually pretty sharp. Passed it and saw the front end... total deal killer for me. It reminded me of the picture somebody else posted here before about the absurd grill sizes these days, possibly using BMW as an example.

I think both the Lexus "spindle" grilles and the Acura "beak" grilles look awful, although Acura has backed off on the beak sizes in recent years and recent redesigns. Hyundai is also starting to put giant grilles on its Genesis brand. The only Asian luxury brand that doesn't seem to me to be part of some sort of contest to design the goofiest-looking front ends is Infiniti. In a slight defense of all of them, though, I think it was Audi that started the "the front end of the car is all grille" trend when it started putting over-sized grilles on its cars back around 2005 or so.

Wife and I almost got destroyed by a semi on Rt. 8 north an hour ago. I don't know where the jackass thought he was going at that speed, but he had to change lanes to avoid ramming into us from behind at a stop light. And then he had to force his way back over so that he could get on the turnpike.

Infinity and Acura have grills around the same size as one another. Acura’s just looks bigger now because they dropped the bar that used to run through it. The Acura grill is borderline too far for me, especially the emblem that’s the size of a kid’s head. Lexus and Audi are too far gone, though the new BMW sedans are reasonable.

Do you have a dashcam? r/IdiotsInCars has almost convinced me to get one for this reason alone.Wife and I almost got destroyed by a semi on Rt. 8 north an hour ago. Our city (really a big town) added a roundabout, which is pretty progressive in these parts. I need a dash cam just for driving through that a couple of times a week.
It’s one with separate lanes for merging onto perpendicular streets, so if you are going straight through or turning at the third street you go straight. If you are making an immediate right turn, you have that lane to yourself.
I’ve been through there twice and someone has gone straight into the circle and driven against the flow of traffic to take what amounts to a left turn (instead of driving all the way through). No one else was in the circle each time, so maybe they thought they would save time.
On one of those trips through the roundabout, I watched the guy do that and came around the circle to another driver waiting to get into the circle...and he expected me to stop and let him into the roundabout. Uh, no. That’s not how this works.

Much like zipper merging, roundabouts can be far more efficient in terms of managing traffic than their alternative. Unfortunately, like anything else, it is limited by the sheer number of stupid people on the roads. Too many <100 IQ drivers on the road.On one of those trips through the roundabout, I watched the guy do that and came around the circle to another driver waiting to get into the circle...and he expected me to stop and let him into the roundabout. Also many traffic engineers that want to use them just because it's the hip new trend. Single lane roundabouts are as useless as tits on a boar.Much like zipper merging, roundabouts can be far more efficient in terms of managing traffic than their alternative.
