Klay tore his ACL? That doesn't help their chances next year

Toronto seems perfect for Kawhi. Maybe he'd flourish even more in a hoops hotbed like LA or NYC but seems like Toronto is just perfect for him

Shouldn’t it diminish it at least a little? Take away 2 injuries, and this is probably another year of GSW breezing through the finals. The team Toronto won 3 games against wasn’t fit for that stage.

They had a number of players step up in big spots and Siakam just wrote his ticket to fortune. Van Vleet was the extra guy they needed last nite to pick up the slack when Lowry had foul trouble and Kawhi was penned up.

But...the Warriors injuries have to be part of the story. As soon as Klay went out, the game changed - there was no second guy that the Raps had to account for around the arc. I thought GS was *better* without Durant because they could get away from the iso bs and move it around. I didn’t like the final play design. The bad crosscourt pass messed up the timing and spacing of the play and gave Toronto just enough to clog up Curry’s look. They didnmt need a 3 so get it in to Curry and let him create and perhaps you have someone else take the shot.

Interesting. Thought that was a great play, although risky. Curry got a better look than he would get any other way. I’d rather go down with him taking that shot that someone else on the floor possibly getting a better look. There were also 10 seconds left, so you figure on a miss, you normally get a quick foul on a defensive rebound, and worst case, you get another shot to tie it up. Obviously that didn’t happen though.

It’s a potentially great play if the inbounds pass is better and Green doesn’t have to keep his feet inbounds and has time to let it develop. I do like the shot going up quick when you’re down so there’s rebound potential. And ues, Curry has to take that last shot but those guys are pros and if Curry gets doubled, I’d rather have an open look than a force.

The Pelicans have agreed to a deal to trade Anthony Davis to the Lakers for Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart, and three first-round picks – including the No. 4 overall in 2019 Draft.
New Orleans' trade package from the Lakers represents one of the most substantial returns on a single star player in modern league history.

Fully recognizing the importance more than any other sport of snagging individual stars in basketball, that is an insane price to pay.

I actually think the lakers did pretty well with this. Lonzo is not good and Ingram is good but always hurt. They kept kuzma which I think is the most important piece they had that was in talks. The draft after the top 3 this year loses some value. Overall not bad.

If they can get two great shooters, it’s a good deal for the lakers. If not, it’s going to be a struggle. Lebron only has so many years left.

This is a win for the pelicans regardless.

Kemba Walker will be a top target in free agency for the Lakers after they reached an agreement in principle to trade for Anthony Davis, according to league sources.
