It was a cool, windy night here last night so it was pretty nice in my recliner, a few drinks, watching live majors golf after dusk, had the door open with the cool breeze blowing in and the sound of the waves crashing on tv. If I were a dad that would have been the perfect father's day weekend thing right there.

Pebble playing a little too easy imo. Hopefully the wind picks up over the weekend

I made a mistake by posting up at 5 for the second groupings. It’s kicking everyone’s ass
Only four birds in 8 groups (Lee, Willett, Thomas and McDowell)

Reed shanked four shots in a row on 18 and snapped his club. He was one more stroke away from missing the cut

His round was already off the rails at this point, but when he hit that duck hook like I would hit right into the ocean... Yeesh.**** Rickie man.
Very impressive 65 from Woodland yesterday. We will see what he does today. He can certainly pipe the ball though.

Moving Day...another chilly moist one on the MP. Don’t think the wind will come up but also don’t think it’s gonna get any easier. Amazingly, the best rounds of the tourney have come in the LATE wave of both days.
So who’s to watch? I’d be most worried about Rory. His majors have come in the wetter, danker conditions and this sets up pretty well for him. He just has to quit doing dumb stuff like his double on 14 yesterday. Koepka would favor it getting more difficult but if he’s gonna 3-peat, he’s gotta get the putter going. He doesn’t do well on poa and it’s showing so far. Woodland was in this position in August and stagnated. He has to prove he can put 72 on the board in a big spot. Rose’s scrambling has bailed him out thru 2 rounds but he can’t keep relying on these great escapes. Oosthuizen’s back 9 yesterday was an EKG readout - only par was on 18. But he’s a proven commodity in a major.
Want someone from off the pace? DJ. He figured something out starting on the 8th yesterday and if he could have made a couple more from inside 10 feet, we’d have been slobbering over him in our pregame show today.

Nice recap. I was really impressed with Willett on the front today, but the turn got him.

@MalkinIsMyHomeboy Reply to your PM that didn’t wanna leave my outbox...
Final putt drops at 7. I’d guess that if you get to 18 by 4:30-5:00, you should be better than good. That will be about the time the final group makes the turn, which means that you can almost catch every group coming thru 7.
Two views that you need to see if you haven’t already - the spot from behind 8 green looking back at the second shot and seeing that canyon you have to carry...and from up around 11 green looking back to the ocean. It sucks that it’s been all clouds since Wednesday cuz the views are even more amazing.

Low scores were one thing at Erin Hills when they blamed it on no wind.. but this just seems like the USGA gave into all the backlash and gave us two ATT Pro Ams at Pebble Beach this year

Man, I'm impressed with Woodland today. Dude has been making the plays he needs to make. Huge saves

Koepka only four shots back... Woodland will be very interesting to watch today. My pick is Rose.

I like Woodland. Dude already has 7 top ten finishes this season and feels like he's always hanging around the leaderboard. Only 2 bogeys through 54 holes and making 7 of his 8 up and down chances yesterday is impressive, but he needs to put himself in better spots today to have a chance. Dude was all over the place on the back nine yesterday. Go Woodland, **** Rose, go America.

Woodland wins today if he keeps it on the map. The saves at 12 and 14 were stupid good but should have been unnecessary.
Rose wins today if he hits 13 greens or more. Still can’t believe he’s in this with all the greens he’s missed.
Koepka wins this if he can just get those putts from 10-20 feet to fall. He leads the league in proximity this week which on these small greens is saying a lot.
Oosthuizen wins if he shoots 65 or better. Might be too much to ask cuz I can’t see the above 3 players all folding up.
Rory wins if he has a repeat of Canada last week.
Reavie wins if 1992 happens...and even then, he’d likely get blown away in that wind too.
And here’s your heartstrings tugger - A couple years ago, Woodland and his wife were expecting twin boys. One was lost via miscarriage and the other was born a touch prematurely. He’s very healthy now. Well, Gary and his wife are expecting again...twin girls in August. This pregnancy is going much better. Today’s Father’s Day. Can’t think of a better setup for a winner.

Gary Woodland it is. I like Reavie too. I had never heard of the guy until like two years ago when I would always get YouTube ads with him stumping for some at-home golf workout system that he said changed his career. I can't even find the name of the workout program so I assume it's gone under, but he's been playing the best golf of his life over the past two years so I guess it actually worked lol.

Great start for the amateur Hovland. That kid seems to have some game.
