The German team reminds me of the German teams with made-up names in NHL 97. Who are these guys?

Perhaps he recognizes he has a certain duty to the team that pays him millions of dollars a year.

I would like a detailed description as to why...

Unless of course it's a cognate to Boston Accent English...the most beautiful form of the language, of course...

Mark Stone makes it 6-5 against Slovakia with a second left. Terrific game.

I don't defend the hit...it's a board...but given that he didn't seem to be coming in so aggressive, I'm surprised Seider looked as hurt as he did...hope he's all right...

Eisenschmid! With the goalie pulled...puck don't lie...that kid (?) can shoot... (he played at the World Juniors at least a few years ago now I think...maybe he's 26?)

Woah. He's only played like 52 minutes tonight...and still has time to cut to the middle and win it...

I was gonna say, big point for Germany...how about they'll just stay undefeated, keep the change, mikey...

I'm not sold on Seider. Talented, but he appears to be too much of a project. But what do I know.

I have only really seen him in this tournament, which is a tough look...he's not in my world...but I don't think I see him as a top 3 defenseman in this class certainly...beyond that, I start to lose track...but based on my vague knowledge of the rest of the world, I'm not sure he's top 5 either...I expect he won't last too long though on draft day though...a big RHS who played against men all year and is playing for a competitive team in the Worlds...a lot of clubs are gonna want to sign up for that, especially with the lack of D and RHS D in this class...

But, I'm told this exhibition will help him get back on track.

Malkin in a friendly mode, posing with fans in front of a luxury Asian restaurant in Bratislava:

According to the Slovak tabloid that published the pics, 24 team members drank 160 beers (which in Europe are 0.5 liters) during the team dinner. So, that makes 3.33 liters/person (one gallon = 3.74 liters). Allegedly, the restaurant ran out of beer, and the waiters had to buy it in the competing restaurant across the street... :)
