This is a good point. Generally speaking look at the champions of the "one-and-done" era. Kentucky 2012 and Duke 2015 are really the only true "one-and-done" teams on the list.
--Look at the 4 teams left. What do they have in common? None are part of the one-and-done factory. All four teams are pretty well-experienced and have juniors and seniors that have been down these roads before. At first glimpse, I like Virginia vs. Sparty for the championship with Sparty winning but it's been a bunch of surprises these last 4 days so it wouldn't be too crazy to think Auburn and TTech will be seeing each other on Monday.

And those teams weren't purely freshmen one and dones - Quinn Cook was Duke's 2nd leading a scorer and a junior, and they had some non one-and-done contributors off the bench. And Doron Lamb/Terrence Jones (2nd/4th leading scorers) for Kentucky were soph's.This is a good point. Generally speaking look at the champions of the "one-and-done" era. No doubt it's optimal to have a mix. It was primarily upperclassmen who made UNC tick in their last 3 championships.

Looks like that bad basketball loving, don't run your offense until there's 10 left on the shot clock, perennial underachiever, "I'm leaving for the Pac-1012 unless you give me a raise", hack Jamie Dixon is the leading candidate for the UCLA job. Good luck with that one Jamie.

Don't understand why you're all so bitter towards a guy that took your program to heights it's very likely not to achieve again. No wonder he wanted out.

Dude accepts another job while his team, who put up a classic 44 point Jamie Dixon performance, is flying back to campus. What a NTP66 nugget.

Buzz Williams, who went from Marquette to Virginia Tech a few years ago, now takes his talents to College Station to take over aTm. The king of the lateral moves (from a basketball standpoint) is gonna make a nice bit of coin with the Aggies at least.

I always thought Marquette to Va Tech was a step down.

Agreed. But he's from Texas and has a grad degree from A&M so this is understandable. Not to mention the coin he's getting nowI always thought Marquette to Va Tech was a step down.

https://twitter.com/latbbolch/status/11 ... 6438166528Latest I've heard is that the Jamie Dixon buyout IS still an issue. TCU is resistant to lowering it and UCLA is hesitant to pay. And the TCU team meeting was scheduled last night, so there may not be anything to announce unless something happens in the next hour or so.

Absolutely disastrous foul to take. How stupid do you have to be to make ANY contact there.

Auburn did everything right to win that game and it would have been such an impressive comeback from down 10 but you can't be that aggressive on a closeout in that situation. If the guy hits the shot, so be it. Absolutely the right call.

I get rooting for the underdog, but I am happy Auburn did not make the finals (even though it would have generated extra respect for "my" conference).Unfortunate
Bruce Pearl, IMO, is simply a special kind of a despicable person, exponentially worse than popular punching bags like Cal, K, etc. And so I am kind of glad his career did not get rewarded...
