The people that go back and search through Twitter to dig up **** are mentally deranged. The fallout from this should be amusing. If they try to replace Kevin Hart with a white dude, there's gonna be a lot of SJWing going on.

Wow. That looks great. Only thing is I wish it didn't spoil that Scott gets out of the quantum realm.https://twitter.com/MarvelStudios/statu ... 3416740864
this is going to be fun. that's how you do a trailer. I'm good until the movie comes out.

That's the problem. Most offensive jokes are offensive because they're not funny. The punchline of his tweets were just "ew, gross, gay." The intent is what makes it offensive. Anything can be funny if you're a talented enough comedian, which Hart isn't.Saw some of the tweets in question. Offensively unfunny, which is not all that surprising.
Here's an example of a gay joke that's funny and isn't offensive because it doesn't come from a place of hate.
(It's Bill Burr. It's obviously NSFW)

I am 100% on board with the notion that anything can be funny in the hands of a talented comedian. Which is what makes Kevin Hart so troubling, generally.
I was in line behind him at Jersey Mike's a couple years ago. Can confirm he cannot ride the grown up rides.

I watched the first five minutes of Buster Scruggs and I'm not sure I want to see more.

I can take him in small doses, and occasionally an entire movie, but not much more. I want to say that he was okay in Jumanji?I am 100% on board with the notion that anything can be funny in the hands of a talented comedian. Which is what makes Kevin Hart so troubling, generally.

Blackkklansman. Wow, did Spike Lee knock this one out. Can't remember the last time time I laughed so hard and then felt disgusted in a matter of seconds. I dug this one. Excellent performances. Loved how they pretty much made fun of how dumb these **** dadhole rednecks are, but also showing how stupidly dangerous they can be. He did a great job showing all sides to this story, well done.

Did you keep watching? I highly recommend pushing through that first story.I watched the first five minutes of Buster Scruggs and I'm not sure I want to see more.
The violence goes from goofball irreverent gore to intense more realistic slaughter to poignant dramatic killing and then implied contemplative/tragic death.
Each story is different in tone and none thankfully are like the first one. It has a redeeming value however. Im assuming they choose putting it first partly guessing the Tarantino-esque quality of it would appeal to maybe the younger masses and get the clicks but artistically if it must be in there it does set up the other stories well.
In the slower stories I was always on the edge of my seat since I'd been taught that anything can happen in this movie. It's like reading a Clive Barker book where any world breaking creation could appear at any time. So as I'd care for a new character and setting I was always picturing and worrying about what crazy thing might happen next. And to my enjoyment the filmmakers were much more reserved in many of the other stories.

I will definitely watch it. The Coen brothers are brilliant more often than not, overrated my arse.

Cool. Agreed. And I want to clarify that I don't think this is their best work at all. More, that it turned into something worthwhile after threatening to be garbage ( at least to me. many may enjoy that first story)I will definitely watch it. Similarly, The Dukes of Hazzard and Gilmore Girls both used the same town square set.

One of the cool/sad things that we saw on our Universal Studios tour were the burned remains of the BTTF clock tower set.

Courthouse Square has been in hundreds of productions over the years, from To Kill A Mockingbird to frickin' Amistad.

What was the consensus in Bohemian rhapsody? Saw it the other day and thought it was good. I think the first twenty minutes or so were kind of lame, But it gets better as it goes along.

I read a bit about the true story that inspired the story of The Mule, and it's every bit as bonkers as you'd expect.
