How is a conditional pick the best offer they got? How does an AFC team not offer up a 4th just to keep him out of New England?

They probably got offered a 4 but Hue Jackson thought that 5 was more than 4, so...well, you can figure out the rest...
But, yeah, I mean, what teams are going to pay a mid-round pick for a player who is currently hurt, has played, what, one game in the last three years? Has a noted drug problem at best...and is a borderline circus if/when he's not any of those things...unless he goes years without a hiccup...

It looks like David Johnson's time as an elite statistical RB is going to die in that miserable Arizona offense. They look downright awful this year.

lol I am relieved that I wasn't in a situation where I had to pick between Bell and Johnson. Gurley at 1 was an easy choice, we might see a year where the #2/#3 overall fantasy picks are complete busts.my fantasy team thanks you shad

I made the mistake of taking Fitzgerald, rationalizing with “well they have to throw the ball to someone”.
No they don’t. They don’t have to throw the ball to anyone.

In a situation where they trailed all game and Bradford played all (!) game...he threw for 90 yards I think...with David Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald...and even that Chase Edmonds isn't horrific...90. I'd like to think I could get to 30 or 35 with DJ and Fitz before I got hurt and had to leave the game...I'd expect a first overall pick to lap me, but, here we are...in this fictitious situation that I'm attributing as real for the purposes of exaggerated illustration...

Ravens fined $200,000 for cheating during preseason games.
That's kinda funny.

While AB is busy being a pouty shithead....
Joe Casella has owned Casella’s Italian Delicatessen in Scottsdale, Arizona, for 42 years. Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald has been a customer for years, and when he heard that Casella is dying of cancer, he wanted to do something to help.
On Tuesday, Fitzgerald paid the bills of every customer at the deli, all afternoon, and in exchange asked the customers to donate some money to help Casella’s family.
“Joe and his family are such a big part of the community and a true example of a family run restaurant that cares about their neighbors and community,” said Fitzgerald. “When I met Joe and his family, I saw something special, the same thing customers see when they meet the Casella family, people who truly care about their neighbors and know their customers on a personal level, and if they don’t know you yet, they do when you come in and they don’t forget.”
With Fitzgerald footing the bill, the line was out the door on Tuesday.

Absolutely love Fitz. Gutted that he never got to win it all but then again I think he's at peace with that.

Why did Fox spend a billion on Thursday night if they aren't going to show any games?

Rooting for not that many field goals by both teams and not that many completions for Darnold. No particular reason...
NFL
T.Tayler starting out 0/6, and Darnold starting out 1/2 for -8.
Promising opening drives.
