Yes, they are NPR even though they could have signed with the Pens...

Evander Kane's contract is insane. Has only hit 45 points once, and that was 7 seasons ago. 7x$7M. 3 team trade list M-NTC. Only 3 teams... GMs just can't help themsleves can they?

Whoa...I didn't even see about the NTC. That's nuts.

Not to back this deal any...because it's a real lemon sucker...but Kane had 29 goals and 54 points this season alone...

I look forward to San Jose trading 37 first round picks to Seattle to entice them to select Kane in the next expansion draft, which I imagine is why they gave him a ridiculous M-NTC but not a NMC.

Rick Nash is off the market... for now.
As per Joe Resnick, agent for Rick Nash, Rick remains undecided on playing next season and will forego the July 1st signing period.

I have nothing to say. But I don't want the Capitals to be at the top of this sub-forum anymore because I'm petty...

Nash took a pretty good beating this season. I’m not surprised he’s on the fence about playing.

And it’s a hard 34. His back has to be shot from carrying an entire franchise for a decade plus.

That's where he was.
Yes, trade deadline addition to WAS from Chicago (he was a frequent healthy scratch for CHI). As Kempny recently said in a few Czech interviews, he was pretty much ready to leave the NHL after this year, because in Chicago he thought nobody would give him a new contract after this season. Instead, one successful play-off run later - he is set for life...

He was terrifical in the playoffs...big props to Todd Reirden for breaking down his game for him and making him effective...Caps retain their top pair...

Dear lord
@frank_seravalli

By my elementary math skills, it would appear Drew Doughty now has the second-most dollars guaranteed all-time ($155 million) in #NHL history. Only Sidney Crosby ($159 million) has more on the books. Jaromir Jagr was most of older generation (~$133 million)

That's fairly steep for a 4th liner, my pre-existing opinions of Reaves aside (yes I am aware that the cap is going up).
