It's going to be 98-99 here all week. @Freddy Rumsen

Some of my son's friends are playing in an all-star tournament all week...which is cruel and inhumane punishment imho. Most of the games are in the morning, and after 6 PM...but it's already 90 here now and will be in the mid 90s until the sun goes down.

Bring it on. I like to stand outside when it is 100+ with 90% humidity and just let the life get sucked out of me.

I moved from Pittsburgh to Charleston way back in 1990, in early August. I was staying with my uncle, while my parents closed on the house and finished work etc. I had to start high school before the closing, so I came down early. My uncle was a general contractor, and he was demo'ing two houses near the College of Charleston. The hottest days of the summer, and he put me to work for a few days.

I caddied in Pittsburgh all three summers I lived there, so I was used to the heat and working outside...but I've never been so hot and miserable as those few days. Basically, drenched in sweat and covered in plaster and sheetrock dust from about 7 am until early evening. Welcome to the South, y'all!!!

After spending five straight days in direct sunlight, I'm going to cool off in the heart of Texas for four days...

Projected high temps: 99, 104, 100 and this last one is just a skull and cross bones...so whatever number that represents...

Drove right by there today in the middle of the storm. No idea when the flooding got to this magnitude but I’m just glad it happened after I was gone. As it was my entire drive down Brownsville was like hitting the landing zone on the Log Jammer (RIP). Just an insane amount of water on the road.

Why does it seem to flood in this city so easily? I live on a literal island and we had a scare over the winter, the last one before that was 2004.

The poorly designed triangle city surrounded by rivers and not protected from weather by mountains...? That one?

It's going well actually. Had a couple of drinks with some people who can get me jobs tonight...I'm doing well...maybe should have packed some mouthwash haha

Ya know, some people I know in Philly seem to have the impression that Pittsburgh is an artsy city...fair or foul: 12% of the city's notable artwork parks in your driveway?
