Not yet.

The US is trending toward the European model where you can just bet on your phone any time any where. But for now the land of the free is pretty archaic.

I have bets on like 8 props, my favorite two being Clement over 13.5 receiving yards and Brady over 26.5 completions

I think Clement will play a big role against the Pats slow linebackers

I cannot imagine a universe where Brady loses to Foles
derp

I hit on almost all my props though. Only ones that missed were Brady MVP and Dion over 12.5 carries

@Orlando Penguin

At a passing glance, it seems like your college hoops game is hot...

Wanna lay down some betting advice for someone who is leaving for Vegas tomorrow and wants to get stupid rich...?

My buddy who follows college hoops closely (his brother plays for UVA actually) and myself (who follows college hoops never, outside of occasionally watching UVA and I went to a MSU game this year) came up with this:
UVA
Arizona (-9)
Miami (-2.5)
Ark (+1.5)
Purdue (-20.5)
Kansas (-14.5)
NC State (+2)
MSU (-14)
URI (-1.5)

UVA, Arizona, Purdue, Villanova to win it all

NC State (+2)

URI (-1.5)

My Final Four is Villanova, Virginia, Gonzaga, Sparty with Villanova beating Virginia in the championship.

Advice...Well, first off, depending on where you're going, I hope you have a game plan as far getting a spot to watch the games. In years past, I've gone to Green Valley Ranch in Henderson and my group has had to grab our table for the day in the sportsbook at 4am (hey, it's 7am in the East so it was easier to stay on time). One thing to think about is first half wagering. Those games that have the big numbers (Kansas for instance) might be attractive enough to grab the first half line. You'd think that the 1 seed is going to jump all over the 16 seed early and often and put them away in the first half. Kansas's first half number based on that spread would be -8 or -9, somewhere in there. And in a way, it can guard against what I like to call the 'dickaround spread', which is a number like 14 1/2 and the favorite dicks around late in the game (puts the scrubs in, for example) and they blow the cover in the final minutes. If your brother follows it closely, talk to him about that idea. Not only can it give you the chance to increase your winnings, it adds excitement to the first half of the game too.

As for the games you cite there:
Virginia -- My site says -22...that might be a good halftime bet too
Arizona...unsure about that one...check out the over-under number when it's posted as Buffalo isn't afraid to score points
Miami -- I can't recommend because I like Loyola in that game
Arkansas -- I'm surprised they're a dog in that game...I like that one
Purdue -- don't know anything about Fullerton so I can't really say one way or the other
Kansas -- I don't think there's any way Penn pulls the upset of all upsets but they like to shoot the 3 and teams that like the 3 can always backdoor you in the end. Again, check out the first half number here.
NC State -- that game is a battle of Jekyl and Hyde teams. Which one decides to show up on each side? I picked NC State in my bracket so on the surface, I'd thumbs up your selection.
Sparty -- I'd be careful with this one. Bucknell should have beaten Maryland and they gave Carolina a lot of fits back in November. They're a team like Penn who likes to shoot from the outside.
Rhode Island -- Given all of the love for Trae Young, I wonder if that number swings to the other side by tipoff because the public will bet up Oklahoma. Try to wait that one out to get your best point advantage. I'm with you on URI...they have the guards to defend against Young and the rest of OU has been pretty awful.

Have fun out there. It's pretty great to hang out in the book all day Thursday & Friday and just listen to the cheers and excitement when a game is close or if there's a spread in play. I'll be interested to hear about your progress throughout the week.

We need a "like" feature...thanks for this, OP. Good call on first half spreads for the big ticket games. :thumb:

@mikey

Wow, going back and looking what I wrote for Thursday's games, it wasn't too terribly far off. Freakin Penn almost got me a backdoor cover and the number in Buffalo-Arizona fell a half point BELOW the posted total (damn hooks). On the day, I went 14-9-1. It was very eerie how close the handicappers were to a majority of those games, including the first half numbers. I've never sweated out more tight ones than I did today. How'd it go for you?

I did pretty good yesterday actually as well. Just missed the Kansas-8 first half and I did take a hit with NC ST and the under...the rest of it was pretty much gravy...I held off on Arizona, which ended up being a God send,...

Other than that I nailed 7 others...7-4 in NCAAB on the first day I believe...including a Stephen F Austin ml bet which would have been silk if they didn't blow it. Did swap Miami for Loyola which proved beneficial...

I cleaned up on hockey last night...in fact, a Sabres win would have paid $2200 on $10, only piece I was missing on a lengthy parlay...still came up +$250ish on hockey alone for the day.

Was out til 4 am local last night, so I'm not sure what I am gonna attack today, but either way I'm having a blast...thanks for the tips...:thumb:

My NHL slate Tuesday night was 1-2 thanks to the Penguins pathetic performance. Taking tonite off from hockey. May go with Utah +7 at St. Mary's in NIT action but that's tread at your own risk during NIT time.

Remember kids, scared money doesn't make money. I liked that Utah +7 and didn't take it and they won outright.

Hockey tonite:

Round Robin 3-way parlay -- Flyers, Caps, Lightning, Hurricanes....big winner even with sweating out all of the 1-goal games.
Leafs-Preds Over 6

Hoops tonite:
Michigan -3
Nevada -1
Kentucky - 5 1/2

Got Nova -7 and Michigan first to 10...but missed out by a bit betting on Nova to win by 11-13 and 14-16, the latter was 9:1. Oh well...

Single:
Pens ml

Then a 3-leg parlay, that I also went 2-ways round robin with (so, all 3 iterations of winning 2 out of 3 as well):
Pens -1.5
Nsh ml
TB ml

In other words, I paid for my ticket to game 5. :)
