I think I’m just looking for something outside the box. A drunk broadcaster calling a pro hockey player a whipper snapper or whatever scratches that itch. I wouldn’t want them calling a playoff game. But on a Wednesday night in March or whatever...sure.

And I also realize any time they compliment the pens it’s simply to rationalize Detroit’s failures.

In that case, you want Jack Edwards...he calls a better game than what's his dick from Detroit...and Boston has a better color guy. Plus, I feel like all of their sideline (?) reporters go on to become someone...off the top of my head, I think, Kathryn Tappen and Jamie Erdahl went national and Naoko Funiyama moved up to be with the Red Sox for a bit, not sure what happened after...I feel like I'm missing one more cute blonde too...and I'll tell ya, the new girl, Alex Kraemer I think her name is, will absolutely being going national before too long...she has the talent...

I did see something yesterday where, if the right circumstances occur, the Flyers and Panthers would have a perfect tie, even going down the list of the tiebreakers. No one knows what would happen in that case.
Boy, that's a hell of a stretch. Florida basically needs to win their last three games all in a shootout. They've won 3 games (out of 6) in a shootout all year...even then, I have to imagine regular, general wins factors in somewhere along the way...which Florida would clearly win...

I'd just like Florida to make it. And Florida making it means Tampa finishes 1st. Which means we get TB/Fla...

Oh yeah. I'm not saying it'll happen. I'm really just curious to see what would happen in that situation.

I really think just regular old wins would rule the day...

The Flyers are starting Elliot tonight. Bold strategy for a team that needs every point they can get to start a goalie that hasn’t played in months.

Meet in Carolina and have a shootout to decide the playoffs.

In fairness, it’s easier for me to like them now that Detroit is a meaningless franchise. Homer away - you guys are still years away from mattering again.

If this was 10 years ago, half senile Detroit based homers would have been repulsive.

Arizona and the officiating crew stuck around to give their appreciation. This is why I enjoy hockey more than any other sport.

Hope to see the Rangers come out motivated to beat the Flyers today and not some “3 hours to tee time” garbage.

There’s a “2010 revenge” narrative going around. When the flyers knocked out the rags on the last day. I expect lundqvist to get pulled in a blowout instead.

Apparently both the Devils and Jackets will rest their best players tonight. It has nothing to do with trying to avoid the Pens, Torts assures us.
