A lot of reporters could actually take a lesson from him.Brock is a beaut. Kid did a great job too actually, in a big spot.

I think he’s a smart player and those people usually only get smarter. I also don’t see him as someone, who drop off. Back end of the deal will be cheap relative to salary cap.Lars Eller: 5 years/$17.5M
Good deal for the Craps
Meh. It is good for the Caps in that he is consistent. But he is a dozen goal, sub-30 point kind of guy. Second PK, maybe 3rd PP unit/filler on PP. Not tough but doesn't shy from contact. $3M would have been good. $3.5 is meh. In a few years it might qualify as good.

Defending Brown twice in a row feels dirty, but I don’t have a huge issue with that hit. He doesn’t stick it out. It’s not outside his shoulders. He doesn’t change his path really at all. Sergachev tried to bail and doesn’t get all the way out.

He led with the leg, that's my only issue. Everything is just standard-issue bleh hit...the 5 and a game was plenty from me...the goal Tampa scored immediately on the major was the game winner, so it really was five and a game, so good enough...

don't kid yourself. Brown knew exactly what he was aiming for. he didn't have to stick his leg out. kneeing is cheap, plain and simple. I''d like to see the NHL take head shots and checks from behind as seriously as they take kneeing.

See, that’s where I get fuzzy. I don’t think Brown goes in thinking “I’m going knee on knee on this dodint.” He’s thinking he wants to slow this mobile Dman down by getting a piece of him, gets locked into the hit, and doesn’t bail when Sergachev bails. It’s careless, no doubt, but not egregiousdon't kid yourself. Brown knew exactly what he was aiming for. he didn't have to stick his leg out. kneeing is cheap, plain and simple. No idea if true, but in a conversation I was part of at the WJCs, someone made a reference to her and not-so-subtlely hinted at an eating disorder...

There is an Athletic article about her from January. It's behind the paywall, naturally.

Yeah she's doing some sort of women/empowerment project where people talk about their issues and their life or something like that.
