I do like the 3 on 3 tournament format but my lord do they need to find a way to make it shorter. 3 1/2 hours is way too long.
They could start by cutting out the musical act.

I'm a complainer for comedic purposes usually...but it's an all-star game, just have fun with it for what it is...the whole thing isn't awful...

The Atlantic/Met game was fun. And like I said I do like the tournament format. But come in, this is a larger time commitment than a regular game.I'm a complainer for comedic purposes usually...but it's an all-star game, just have fun with it for what it is...the whole thing isn't awful...

It was, what, a 4 pm start? I believe the last game (two 10-minute periods) was supposed to start at 6:08 or so (until Kid Rock broke the arena) - so I'm thinking it would have been over in about 2hr 45 mins, which is basically what regular season games run...maybe I missed something...?

According to the NHL app, the first game was supposed to start at 3:30, so that’s when I tuned in. It didn’t actually start until 4 or so. I wasn’t watching Kid Rock so I’m not sure what happened there. All I know is the third game hasn’t started yet. Even without the broken arena (?) there’s a ton of downtime. It was, what, a 4 pm start? Yeah, it was a 4:05 start, not sure what 3:30 is all about...
And there was a 20 minute delay because they couldn't get the screen to go back up into rafters...I'm surprised that wasn't mentioned on the American feed (I presume?), I'm watching on Sportsnet, and they showed it/mentioned it several times...the games are taking like 35-40 minutes, which is about what an NHL period takes...so it's about on time, even with the hoopla, but minus the arena breakage...

If you consider playing in Detroit to be "in the league"...

Yeah no idea why the NHL app said 3:30. They may have mentioned it on the NBC feed, but I turned the channel once Kid Rock came on. Nobody needs to watch that.Yeah, it was a 4:05 start, not sure what 3:30 is all about...

Hmph, that's funny...in Canada they showed exactly 0 seconds of Kid Rock...they instead were doing interviews with players, I think Gary Bettman and Willie O'Ree were among them...it was hockey educational as opposed to whatever Kid Rock represents...(Congressman Kid Rock...?)
Though, it was odd that Glenn Healy was on the broadcast...he was fired in the offseason...
