It's really bugging me that the players are crossing the line well before the clock stops on the fastest skater

Letang completely loses the puck on the shootout event. Sid misses too.
Trade everything.

I always enjoy these things.
A couple things:
Karlsson, at 30, has zero wrinkles...none.
Kypreos is a drama queen
Kucherov is NOT 6 ft tall
Marchand is NOT 5'8

NHL guys seem to prefer trashy “hot” women from Tennessee.

Impressions from being there...
--Normally, I'd hate sitting so close to the glass for a regular game but for something like tonight, it was a great spot, especially for photos
--Speed Skate -- McDavid can freakin fly...figured he was going to win that but Point looked pretty effortless getting around the rink
--Passing -- interesting concept, thought it would take Letang at least 2:00 to finish up...the give & go stuff in the middle seems pretty pointless but the saucer passes into the mini-nets is a nice twist for accuracy
--Save Streak -- this was my favorite part of the nite...just wish that Fleury's round was at my end of the ice...looked like a number of the players weren't really putting much effort into beating the goalies. Rinne and Queenie had a number of pretty easy saves. Was a little surprised that Letang didn't go with his patented backhand top shelf move.
--Puckhandling -- probably could have done without this competition. The flip into the different slots...at what point do we really see anything like that in a regular game?
--Hardest shot -- Would have liked that at my end but was happy to sacrifice it for the Accuracy round. I was expecting them to juice the radar gun when Stamkos stepped up there. I miss the days of Iafrate and MacInnis bringing the rockets.
--Accuracy -- I think I like the new way better with having to hit up randomly lit targets because players have to react quickly and fire their shot. Thought Sid had a great chance to win this one but it wasn't to be.
Got plenty of great pics and a few vids of Sid and Letang during their runs. Outside of the TB players, the biggest ovation was for former Lightning player Brian Boyle, for obvious reasons. Marchand was public enemy #1. He seemed to be enjoying the booing. Naturally, Sid & Letang got plenty of boos as well (jealousy). It was pretty cool after the competition ended to see the players milling around the ice, some with their kids (Burns), and just chatting each other up. At one point, there was a circle of Sid, Fleury, Neal, and Rinne probably discussing last year's Final. Sid & Fleury posed for a pic together from one of the NHL photogs. Went to the AfterParty next door with Flo Rida and met Barry Trotz there. He pointed at the Penguins logo on my shirt and said that 'one of these days, we've gotta get your guys'. And finally, it was a close competition as to the hottest blonde on the ice -- Amanda Kessel or the girl on the support staff retrieving pucks.
