Not a basketball fan, but I've been following this Finals from a sort of human interest level. Is this really shaping up to be LeBron > than the Golden State Warriors?

How is Lebron a sports heel?
I'm personally a reformed Lebron fan, I'm speaking in general sports fan terms. You're probably right though, I think a lot of the Lebron hate has faded away. Especially now that the prodigal son has returned home.

a little bit, but his supporting cast has played "well enough" so far. It's not that Lebron is better than the entire team, but that he's so much better than every player on the Warriors, including Curry.

Curry can shoot well, yeah, but he cannot dominate the game like Lebron can. Lebron can play every position on offense and defense, has the ability to handle pressure and can control the tempo. If he was any other player on the planet GS would've swept the Cavs by now

I've realized slappy has a fetish for sports heels. Johnny Manziel, Lebron James, Floyd Mayweather, Ted Dibiase....am I missing any?
I've never "liked" lebron because he took shine away from my boy Kobe, but if one can't appreciate what's happening in this series because of MJs ghost then I feel bad for those people.

Also mr perfect is my favorite heel wrestler.

If I wanted to refer to you, I would have written canaan. Flop your rabbit ears down.

There are plenty of MJ-truthers on the internet in relation to this series.

heres a good comparison of jordan/lebron

http://www.landofbasketball.com/player_ ... jordan.htm

as of now, jordan is better. by the end of lebrons career, it could be flopped, but to say that hes the best of all time no matter the outcome of this series is just silly.

slappy's defense for Kobe is much more egregious than his defense of Lebron

Since you're much younger and didn't really watch MJ play in real time, I am curious as to your top 5 of all time MIMH.

My gut feeling top 10 would be:

1. Jordan
2. Lebron
3. Bird
4. Russell
5. Magic
6. Wilt
7. Kareem
8. Hakeem
9. Oscar Robertson
10. Shaq

I have Kobe in 11-20

Also everyone but Lebron and Jordan are +/- 2 positions. They're all really close. I do think Lebron and Jordan are declaritively 1 and 2 though

The fact that you have Hakeem in your top 10 makes me think you're not so bad after all.

The debate over whether LeBron James is a better player than Michael Jordan will always exist, but for one of the greatest NBA players of all time, it’s not even a question. Former Houston Rockets star Hakeem Olajuwon told CNBC on Thursday that it’s always been MJ, and it always will be. “When people start comparing (James) with Jordan, then that’s not a fair comparison,” Olajuwon said. “Jordan was a far more superior player in a very tough league, he was very creative.” “That’s not taking away anything from LeBron because he is a great player, but it is not a fair comparison because Jordan is a far superior player.”

Contemporary of Jordan thinks Jordan is the best of all time? I do believe I am getting the vapors.

In his autobiography, Living the Dream, Olajuwon mentions an intriguing draft trade offered to the Rockets that would have sent Clyde Drexler and the number two pick in the 1984 NBA draft from Portland in exchange for Ralph Sampson.[15] Had the Rockets made the deal, Olajuwon states the Rockets could have selected Michael Jordan with the number two pick to play alongside Olajuwon and Drexler, who had established chemistry playing together during their Phi Slama Jama days in college. Sportswriter Sam Smith speculates that such a trade "would have changed league history and maybe the entire Michael Jordan legend".[15]
Wow.

Jesus H.

Drexler, Jordan, Hakeem, and the great white hope Craig Ehlo. You move Lewis Lloyd+ for a legitimate #4 to replace what you lose in Sampson.

thats bonkers.

I think Duncan needs a little more top 10 love as well. He may be the most vanilla superstar of all time but his production was elite for 15 straight years. 5 Finals wins, 3 Finals MVPs, 2 regular MVPs, and an absurd 15-15-15 line of All star teams, all NBA teams, and All defense teams.
