Trevor Daley has one point so far this season.

Maybe he should wear a G string.

Nic Dowd swapped for Jordan Subban. That's a pretty cheap cost for Dowd, I guess our scouting staff didn't like him, because the cost was only something like Bengtsson or Prow evidently...

Good for him, but it made me chuckle that the play started by him desperately trying to avoid a Jeff Skinner hit.
Jeff Skinner
I’d rather take a check from him than my three year old.

I didn't even catch the hit avoidance. I was just amazed that he flashed some skill.Good for him, but it made me chuckle that the play started by him desperately trying to avoid a Jeff Skinner hit.

Wouldn't Down basically be a McKegg pt2, or Rowney pt2, type of situation?

I found Dowd to be a step or step and a half up over them. Particularly McKegg. Dowd actually has some vision...he's like Rowney, but if Rowney didn't have two butt-ends to his stick...I would have paid that price, skipped Sheahan at the beginning of the year...in retrospect, hmm, I stick with the same thought actually...

NHL salary cap is projected to rise to somewhere between $78 and $82 million for next season, up from $75 million this season
One year too late, IMO. Would have loved to hang onto Bonino (FIGHT ME).After growing a combined $3.6 million over the last two seasons, the cap will climb at least $3 million next season thanks to a healthy 8 per cent increase in league revenue.

Yeah...but now we'll have room for John Tavares...solid center for Kessel...

That dude's gonna wind up getting $13-14m/year, if I had to take a guess.

A $3m rise in the cap also means that Chicago will now have $33m in cap space...

He wanted out, didn't like the coaches. And he went where he could be a 2C.
