they've got other guys to pay'
the list of "other guys to pay":

Hornqvist (who should not get a raise)
Rust (RFA)
Cole (might get a small bump)

...but sure. let's trade kessel to make sure we can comfortably afford rust.

Rust never sleeps. Phil looks like he's always asleep.

It checks out.

Pens were not one of the final finalists, so to speak, on Bonino. They bailed out days before he signed in Nashville (in that courting period). Bonino was, in part, influenced by the atmosphere of the Nashville games...

Spittin' Chiclets?

I don't listen anymore but the titles still come up on my podcatcher. I saw he was a guest, and the barstool guys love them some Nashville.

My assumption is that every player aside from Crosby and probably Malkin has been shopped at some point. Why wouldn't you?
There are two others I think you could argue based on a cap hit to production ratio, those two being Murray and Guentzel. It'd be hard to replace what they bring to the lineup in terms of production and being cheap against the cap. Not saying it'd be impossible but highly unlikely.

The douchiness is off the charts with those barstool guys (and girls too).

**** Bonino.

We have a neighbor who became friendly with a bunch of the Penguins via a friend. Friendly to the point that they received baby gifts from like half the team when their kid was born and therefore knew a bunch of secret squirrel ****. Bonino didn't like the coaching staff and didn't particularly care to come back.

**** Bonino.

I am in no way displeased with Guentzel's play. Quite the opposite. I never would have guessed he would pan out like this. I just think you could bamboozle someone with him.

I'd like to keep him. I don't think he's a flash in the pan, he's a legit talent...and he can score from more than 20 feet out unlike most of this team...
