Yeah, to be fair, Shero really didn't get us into a lot of albatross contracts or things that were un-moveable...the worst of which might have been Scuderi and even that magically poofed into Trevor Daley...we never had a Dave Bolland at eleventy billion dollars per goal or anything...

Rob Scuderi, of the Ontario Reign in the American Hockey League?Source of the post Scuderi

As long as we continue to acknowledge that it took a work of actual magic and probably a couple souls sold to satan to turn Scuderi into Daley, then yes, Shero didn't get us into a lot of albatross or unmoveable contracts.

No denying that. It's not his fault he got old.Yeah that's him, 2x time Stanley Cup champ as a 20+ minute muncher...
Just saying, if you're back in 2014 and you suddenly FFWD to now and see Daley sitting in Rob's stall you can't help but be tickled.

I've always wondered exactly what the hell happened with Daley in Chicago. It had to be something. Maybe his mother being sick? A guy just doesn't forget how to play, then magically get it back without a legitimate reason.

I think he was used in a defensive role mostly...and just didn't mesh with their parts I guess...look at who Chicago has used on the bottom pair over the years...maybe he was too good...? He couldn't get into a rhythm because of the lack of minutes? Partner that didn't complement him in any way...?
He was not good there though.

I thought it was mainly he likes to play the off side and that isn't where Chicago was playing him.

This list causes every disease in history. Border over Hasek starts my hate and it just builds from there.So...it doesn't bother anyone that the 21st best goalie of all time is sitting on the bench tonight...at least according to NHL Network's crack team...and by crack team I mean they freebased crack and made the worst list I have ever seen by any remotely reputable source....
Bunny Larocque....a backup goalie...
I am a history nut, I have researched and contirbuted to very deliberate lists that took months to put together, so I am sensitive to these things...but this is easily the worst list I have seen from anyone that evidently works in or around the game...

Has Fleury ever been a Vezina finalist?

In 2011, Fleury received one third place vote for the Vezina (so t-8th technically), in 2012 he received one more of the same (t-7th technically)...
So...no, not really...

Bet that's more votes than Bunny Larocque got, which is why Fleury is ahead of him on the list.
