same here. We had a 3 year plan after we were married to start. 2 months after we were married we had to call an audible...
my wife and i laid down our long term personal goals right off the bat. if what we wanted and when we wanted it weren't so synchronized, our relationship wouldn't be as strong as it is.

Did you enjoy the long courtship? My wife and I met in high school (2001) and got engaged in 2005 but didn't get married until 2010. No regrets but I feel like we annoyed the family. Not as much as not having kids does, though.

Since our plan to have kids starting 3 years later failed miserably, we too have switched to this approach. It's more fun.We just fly by the seat of our pants. Works for us.
The meeting and engagement of my old lady lasted 1.5 years before we got married. 9 year anniversary approaching soon...

mrs. meow and I planned on having kids early because we wanted to be young parents. Since we are both athletic and active, we wanted to be able to be active with our kids.

i wanted kids early on in our marriage in a sort of "rip off the band aid" sense. let's get past the difficulty of babies early on, and then it's party time (relatively speaking).mrs. meow and I planned on having kids early because we wanted to be young parents. in related news, i have an appointment with a urologist next week.

Mrs NAN and I wanted the same, but it took us like 3 years after trying to have our first kid. For a while there, we didn't think we'd be able to have any.mrs. meow and I planned on having kids early because we wanted to be young parents. We are undecided on exactly how many we want. She wants to have 2 and be done, but I want a girl. If number 2 is a boy, we might try for 3. I don't like that we'd have to go from man-on-man to a zone defense with a third. Either way, I'm sure I'll end up at a urologist at some point as well.i wanted kids early on in our marriage in a sort of "rip off the band aid" sense. let's get past the difficulty of babies early on, and then it's party time (relatively speaking).mrs. meow and I planned on having kids early because we wanted to be young parents. Mrs. Bear and I met in spring 2003, were engaged in the summer of 2004, married exactly a year later.
Bought her the dog in March of 2009 to try to stave off kids another year or so, got pregnant in August instead. After that we were fertile myrtle, three births in 37 months. I lost the argument on going to the urologist after two, but at least it wasn't a third girl . There was no discussion after he arrived, just made the appointment before the year was up (darned deductibles). So now we're clear for kitchen in the daytime naptime.

My ex fiance is going to meet me for dinner
I'm either going to be suicidal next week or the happiest dude in the world
Odds are on suicidal
If only because this should be so easy, but I always find a way to completely **** up and then regret everything later

This is a very very bad idea. I speak from experience. I mean I guess there is a one in a million chance that it works, but you are just gonna hate yourself after you put yourself through all the pain all over again. You need to cut the cord and move on.It's happening.jpeg

I honestly tried moving on. Didn't feel any sort of spark with the dozen or so girls since even though I was definitely reaching for one
I never ever had a problem moving on before, rejection, breakups none really bothered before her.
I didn't even really believe in marriage or ever see myself being happy with someone in that type of thing...
My parents have both been divorced like three times each and bother are terrible at keeping anything
Idk, I feel like we were kids that had minimal serious relationship experience I was 22, she was 20.
Our first date was 8 hours long and we didn't even have sex.
*shrug* I have to

On a lighter note, I had a date with the Tinder girl that is a Rags fan and knows rugby. It turns out: (a) she's a solid 8/10 IRL, so she's out of my league physically (b) she has the attention span of a squirrel so I'm out of her league there and (c) her family is wealthy as ****. Apparently her grandma (the girl is Cambodian but was adopted) owns a house in the Hamptons.
We had pretty solid chemistry though so I'm feeling good about that but man, and I know this is the wrong thing to say, but I feel like she could do much better than me. I am honestly waiting for her to break and say I've been on a reality show or some ****
