I saw WBS in Charlotte two weekends ago. Poulin was non-existent. He might have scored but I can’t remember. I do remember no one WBS moving the needle for me

Ponomarev and Pickering didn’t look great?

Pickering looked like he wanted to overcomplicate plays. Not as bad as say, PK Subban used to do, but he’d have an easy, simple play and not take it. He did look good in his own zone. He used his reach really well.

I can’t recall Ponomarev doing anything of note

That’s interesting about Pickering because it didn’t seem he was doing that in the big league

I don't see anything wrong with that. Was keeping things simple in the NHL and seeing what he can and can't get away with in the A.

He wasn't. Without seeing it, I imagine this was what I call "technical experimentation"...adding some complexity or deceptive maneuvers or whatever to your game to try to apply things you practice into real games.

I mean, what good is having a skills coach working with you to freeze F1 for three months if all you do in games is slam it off the glass the second you touch the puck haha

McG out for WBS playoffs to unless they make a "deep run" I believe was the phrasing.

Inb4 someone somewhere blames Sullivan's system for McGroarty getting hurt blocking a shot

Not sure Novak is going to work out if he has to sacrifice an ounce of his body... :slug:

Get out from EK's contract. Get away from Jarry/Ned. Sign Marner. That's what's gonna happen this off-season.

Am I reading it right that they have 2 1st and 2 2nd round picks this year?

Do we? I think we have our 1, possibly the Rangers 1. Washington's 2 (ours is gone). And then three 3's.

One of this year's firsts is conditional on the Rangers deciding whether they want to keep a top 13 pick and slide it to next year unprotected.

I was definitely reading it wrong.

That history on the Blues 2nd rounder was hard to follow. Guessing it's safe to assume that the Rangers will keep that 1st and Pens get the 2026 Rangers 1st round pick?

So in summary, Pens have the extra 3rd round picks this year and then a butt ton of draft capital in 2026

The Rangers would be absolute morons to give away next year's 1st round pick, no? Granted, absolute morons are in charge of pretty much everything these days, but still.
