Imagine the Jim Mora "playoffs?!?" rant, but replace that word with "voting".

We are still more than a month away from the 100-day mark of Trump 2.0. Voting is of no help at this juncture.

2) I don't know if I have a unique enough skill set to get a job and cover a visa/living expenses in the new place.

3) Almost every first-world/non-developing option that's decent to live in is a part of a defense alliance currently bickering with someone else, or a place heavily prone to yearly natural disasters (earthquakes, hurricanes, etc). There's not going to be anywhere to hide when/if **** hits the fan.
Besides, it's not like you can just up and move to another country and establish residency (legally). You're not talking about going from PA to CA. It's a process that can take months or even years to accomplish.
The Netherlands has the DAFT visa program, which is a result of the US defeating fascists in Europe!

Those of you without weapons should know that they will definitely not help if whomever is attacking your home can call for backup. I prefer having a "loadout" (ooooooo f***n badass) Because this country is filled with f***ing idiots who will stalk you over the dumbest **** imaginable.

They are the only ones doing anything
Yes but like, what are they doing? It seems way too early for midterms. A grassroots movement to rally people… to do what? Vote in a year and a half?

They are the only people who can currently do anything. So do it.

Do what? What would you like to see them do.

They don't have any official power to push back with the GOP controlling the house.

The courts are the only recourse at this point.

But really, I would like them be putting as many roadblocks as possible in front of this **** show. Unite the party to stand up against this **** show. Figure out why those 9 democrats voted for the budget to continue this **** show. In short, I want them to do their jobs.

The regular people who are attending political rallies a year and a half out from midterms can’t help right now. Anyone there already knows it’s a **** show.

Trump is already throwing little Marco under the bus

I guess if I illegally kidnapped people and sent them to a prison in El Salvador I would blame someone else as well.

You don’t just build that voting thing a month before the elections. Think about how long before 2024 Trump started and added to his base. It’s the long game.

I don’t know. That’s why they were voted into office, presumably because they have skills and know-how that the average schmo (me) doesn’t. It’s part of the “do their jobs” thing.

Another thing that annoys me is that I know the Democratic Party will never put Sanders or AOC in any sort of meaningful leadership position, so these rallies are really just a jerkoff session without a finish.

Sanders is older than Trump. Maybe Biden too.

AOC has a future if she earns it.

If the parties were flipped the GOP would absolutely find a way to obstruct. The Democrats are not interested. They're happy to inherit the husk of whatever is left in 2-4 years, while doing some modest fundraising along the way.

I’m not saying she hasn’t earned it. I’m saying the party won’t allow it.

Perhaps I should've been more clear. Instead of 'voting' let's use the word 'elections'.

The rate nonsense is happening right now, planning for 2026 is borderline delusional.

AOC ain’t it. Her stances are far too rigid and some of those stances are far too unpopular with the common person. Hard to win the hearts and minds of a lot of people when you are that uncompromising.

That being said she’s good at rabble rousing and so is Bernie. Like I said a few days ago neither of them are leaders, I don’t care what anyone else says. If Bernie was a leader, he would have put together a coalition to win the democratic nomination at some point. But he’s stubborn and it’s easier to sit around and yell at clouds.

Just a bunch of cartoonishly evil billionaires in charge now. I'm sure his mother in law is hurting for money
At one point in the wide-ranging, nearly two-hour conversation, Lutnick also said that if Social Security “didn’t send out their checks this month,” his “mother-in-law, who’s 94, she wouldn’t call and complain.”

“She’d think something got messed up, and she’ll get it next month. A fraudster always makes the loudest noise, screaming, yelling and complaining,” the billionaire businessman said.

“Anybody who’s been in the payment system and the processes, who knows the easiest way to find the fraudster is to stop payments and listen, because whoever screams is the one stealing,” he said. “Because my mother-in-law’s not calling, come on, your mother, 80-year-olds, 90-year-olds, they trust the government.”

“With the common person” is the key there…

You've got to remember that these are just simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West. You know... morons.

So why does the same approach work for the GOP?

1.) dems can’t beat trump at his own game
2.) id argue that the gop and specifically trump isn’t all that rigid. He changes his mind all of the time. Vaccines, TikTok, everything that has happened with tarrifs in the past 90 days, etc.
3.) dems have lost the working class and somehow managed to lose ground with minorities. Plus they are hopelessly out of touch with white guys especially uneducated. It’s up to them to come up with a new playbook. Calling trump (and now musk) a criminal hasn’t worked for the past decade. Why is it going to work now?
