It will be very “interesting” to see how the Supreme Court rules on all of this lower court defiance. I have hope that they’ll be a backbone where the legislative branch has been a bunch of dodints but who knows


Alito, Gorsuch and Thomas will obviously side with Trump no matter what so then it becomes a question if two of Kavanaugh, ACB and Roberts put the judiciary above Trump loyalty. I have hope that they would because their not subject to the same “primaried” election terrorism that the legislators have and I have hope that they’ll actually try to defend the constitution and separation of powers rather than say they care about it and then just vote on political ideology like the other shits

Honestly, real failure on the part of the political media at large to just openly accept the lies the Trump campaign put out instead of really digging into Project 2025 and the impact it would have.

There was plenty out there, sure, but there was also minimal pushback on Trump/his campaign when they claimed to know nothing about it. Seemed like a good portion just accepted his word at face value.

Media: Evidence says otherwise.

Voters chose to ignore this. Any pushback is pushed to the side by Trump, no matter how often it happens.

The media. I feel like this was a complaint I had back during the lead up to the election too. It felt like every time it was brought up, the exchange went like

"Do you know anything about (aspect of Project 2025)?"

"Never heard of it"

"OK, cool"

A lot of people tried to amplify the non-traditional media reports on Project 2025, but the big players seemed to have no interest in pushing further.

There were oodles of ads, both from the Harris-Walz campaign and PACs; Project 2025 was everywhere for months. What's going on now is not a surprise. No one cared.

Project 2025 is 900-pages of libertarian fan fiction written by people who unironically call things "Palantir" and "Argonath" and other misplaced Tolkien references.

Paraphrasing one of my favorite YouTubers - this country would gleefully accept fascism if it meant 5% less trash on the street. (This works whether you regard 'trash' literally or figuratively)

Canada seizes way more fentanyl coming from the US into Canada than the other way around. I can only imagine the screams from MAGA if Canada declared they were allowed to send their military into the US to attack drug traffickers.

I watched lots of CNN, Streaming NBC and CBS news during the campaign and they almost always commented on his ties to P2025 when he denied them. Same with news accounts in the national newspapers.

I think there are two things to note:

1. The dude is really good at lying and also if someone pressed him he’d probably shut the interview down

2. The media, generally, is not our friends. They are massive for profit companies who probably love the controversy of Trump as a whole as it boosts their profits
