Bought size 30 waist jeans today. Smallest jean size I’ve ever fit into. They almost look like jeans that would fit a teenager lol.
Back into L in most shirt brands as well.
I've been at a 30/32 for some time, definitely fluctuates especially as I'm trying to bulk for another few weeks.
Being able to wear form fitting clothes that are actually flattering is such a great knock off effect from putting in the effort.
Dress pants/khakis seem to still be 32 for the time being since they fit a bit different, but my Arizona jeans fit good without a belt in a 30 now. Which just feels weird.
Shirts vary xl, L or Large Tall depending on who makes it. That’s frustrating lol. Always have to try stuff on now.
Did 11 miles this morning at about a 9:12/pace. Didn’t feel bad. Could have done the extra 2 to hit HM distance but I stopped where my training said to stop.
Did 5 inside and 3 1/2 outside yesterday. I seem to run faster outside for some reason. Not sure why. Will have to see if that holds up over longer distances. Nice weather coming next week to run outside at least.
Got a 12 mile run outside in this morning. First long run outside and felt good outside of the bandaids falling off my nipples and them bleeding towards the end. Need to figure that out cause that was not pleasant.
Ran at an 8:46/mi pace over the 12 miles. Felt good the whole time. Took a honey stringer packet about 5 minutes before I started then one at 6 miles and felt I had energy the whole time. I think sub 2 hour half marathon time is within reach as long as I pace myself well.
Two weeks ago I was at a trade show where I was getting 25k steps or more a day. Got back and had some bad foot pain. I noticed more movement, the better it felt, but it never got better after some rest. Just worse.
Then I looked it up with the pain location… plantar fasciitis is my best guess. Treatment includes rest, not movement.
So yesterday, on a day off, I did minimal walking. Some strength training, a bit of biking, woke up this morning and it feels much much better. Thanks internet.
I've had plantar fasciitis for 25+ years. It comes and goes, which is good. I was miserable with it for 6 months in 2023, and it finally calmed down after I bought cheapo inserts for my daily driver shoes for like $10. A couple of treatments that work to mitigate pain and flare ups: with your leg straight, stretch your foot so your toes are pointing towards your knee and hold for 30 seconds, repeat a few times. I do this every morning before getting out of bed. Another one is to freeze a water bottle to roll over your heel/foot when the pain for 15 minutes a few times per day.

PF can hang on for months. I used stretching and massage to help heal mine. I also make sure that when at home, I'm not walking around barefoot on hardwood floors.
I've had it since at least 2010 or so. I use custom orthotics to manage the condition. My goal is to keep it in check enough to not have to have surgery.
Hah. This was my rack in Afghanistan when I was marathon training.
I miss the two pairs on the right. They were ultra-light and had an integrated tongue, very cool shoes. They're also probably why I have a permanent disability for plantar fasciitis.
I initially got fitted for a pair of Brooks Glycerin style shoes and thought they were working well, but after running outside recently I came to the conclusion that the toe box was too narrow for my foot. Loved the shoes otherwise, but start getting bad blisters etc on the side of each big toe from where it was rubbing against the shoe.
Went back to the same shoe place and got remeasured/calibrated and tried on about 5 different pairs...walked in them, ran on the treadmill with them in the store etc and finally settled on some Altra's with a super wide toe box. Little less cushion then my Brooks Glycerin's that I had, but they were also much lighter. Did a 5 mile run inside yesterday with them, and a 4 1/2 mile run outside today with them and felt really good. Not rubbing at all ont he sides where the old shoes did. Did a bit of a different lacing pattern as well to relieve a bit of pressure on the top of my foot. That area hurt real bad after my 12 mile run on Saturday.
Decided since I liked these ones so much I'd just go back and get a 2nd pair in the other color they had and make those my daily/alternate shoes and then use my first pair strictly for running. We shall see how it works out in the end over the next couple of months.

Glad they worked for you and that you have that kind of resource to leverage. We went to a store like that in NC and had to drive from the coast to Raleigh to get that kind of experience.
I've been wearing New Balances (not just the fat chunky ones, the marathon ones above are all NB) ever since because they fit so well.
Yeah there is a pro bike and run shop in Monreoville so that makes trying out shoes and getting professional advice pretty quick and easy which is super nice.
10-week post-op update on my elbow. I’ve been doing PT twice a week to try to get full range of motion and strength back. Straightening my arm is probably at 95%. It looks almost normal when I stand and walk. Bending it is only at like 80%. I can touch my face and my neck pretty well, but can’t get to the same shoulder yet. I’m shocked at how slow the strength is coming back. For a comparison, I was single arm hammer curling 70 pounds before the injury. Three sets of 12 and doing it without much of a sweat. Now I struggle doing the same reps with 20 pounds. Both PT and my surgeon both swear I’ll get back to 100%
Someone on this board or LGP recommended the Asics Gel Nimbus back when I had PF even though I am not and will never be a runner. I have worn them ever since and it never came back.
Did 13.1 today outside. Weather sucked this morning super windy and rainy. The last mile was a war of attrition since I had to pee so bad. Finished in 2:08…so not bad after my not great run yesterday.
Unfortunately I pulled something in my shoulder while lifting. It sucks because I just got into a good groove and lifting hasn’t felt like a chore the last week or so. Hoping this doesn’t set me back.
