There was a comedian a while ago that had had a bit where he said his senile old grandfather would watch football and cheer when they showed replays because he thought his team scored again. The comedian was like after a while I stopped correcting him because the game grandpa was watching was more exciting.

That's kind of how I feel ITT of late.

Just watched the whole Zelenskyy Trump thing. JD Vance is a little dodint. Him saying Zelenskyy needs to be thankful is what brought that crashing down, because Trump just latched onto it and then wouldn’t stop. And some of the media questions… yikes. Asking why he doesn’t wear a suit? Glad that guy gets to be part of the White House press corps but the ap doesn't.

ehhhhhhh

I’m pretty familiar with BOI because the business I started last year is subject to it. There’s likely nuanced reasons for why it was ever started but the penalty ($500 a day and up to two years in prison) for not completing the info (which is all publicly available anyway) is absolutely ridiculous for tiny businesses like my own when the communication about this has been pitiful; I only learned about it from my business partner

Also any company that is performing money laundering likely could get away with lying about this **** anyway I imagine and/or could eat the penalties no problems. This whole thing felt like something that hurts true small businesses but helps massive corporations

Donald Trump’s Pentagon chief has ordered a halt to work to counter cyber threats from Russia.

Pete Hegseth’s instructions are part of a larger re-evaluation of all operations against Moscow, US officials said.

The order to Gen Timothy Haugh, the Cyber Command chief, reflects the Trump administration’s decision to downplay threats from Russia.
Looks like the "I'd rather be Russian than a Democrat" crowd are gonna get their wish.

How is that information publicly available?

I imagine there would be details when incorporating the business about those reporting requirements.

Never mind all the noise that's been going for nearly a decade wrt Trump and Russia. Just try to ponder in a vacuum what would be the useful purpose of ceasing that counter-threat activity.

I saw something on how there are more people with measles in Texas than trans athletes in the NCAA. Sounds about right.

He should. And a bunch of other people should too. And then we should have some sort of preliminary election to determine who should run for in the presidential election. And then we should ignore those results and push for one of the Clintons to run. What's Chelsea up to?

Full steam ahead on Mexico and Canada tariffs too
“Tomorrow — tariffs 25% on Canada and 25% on Mexico. And that’ll start,” Trump told reporters in the Roosevelt Room. “They’re going to have to have a tariff.”

But Trump said Monday that there was “no room left for Mexico or for Canada” to avoid the steep new tariffs, which were also set to tax Canadian energy products such as oil and electricity at a lower 10% rate.
