Actually I guess the answer is that the U.S. will take over the Gaza Strip…level the site, get rid of the destroyed buildings, level it out, create an economic development that will supply unlimited numbers of jobs and housing for the people of the area.

I'm not sure that I've heard that from a man before.shafnutz05 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 9:22 pmKushner's mouth is watering looking at all that seafront real estateMrKennethTKangaroo wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 8:53 pm Actually I guess the answer is that the U.S. will take over the Gaza Strip…level the site, get rid of the destroyed buildings, level it out, create an economic development that will supply unlimited numbers of jobs and housing for the people of the area.

His constituents voted for him because they believed he would represent their interests based on the campaign that he ran.
He hasn't lived up to that. What other recourse should voters have? Just let him do whatever the **** he wants?

Yea he very clearly ran on specific things and did a 180. So much so, the GOP stopped crying foul of his stroke soon after.
That’s how much of a benefit he’s been lol.

19th century, early 20th century nonsense being hailed as a bright new future. Hm, wonder how it will end this time around.

To be fair to Fetterman, he has voted pretty blue. Further, I have to say, this is a smart vote for him to get some of the Red vote when he will need it next election. His vote in this is inconsequential in the grand scheme. But he knows he's lost blue votes, so he has something to point to gain red votes.

Why Dems fail in a nutshell.
Politics And Current Events
I see it more why the 2 party system fails. There's not many perfect allies, and as it stands when everything is along party lines, nothing can be done without overwhelming force, as seen by the current structure.
So Fetterman, while I am not a fan of, is doing what is necessary for political success. I don't like it, but in a state as volatile as PA is right now, he's working to not be a 1 and doner. He may still end up that way, but...he's doing what he must.
The Dems ultimately fail because they are have been slow movers. Slow and steady wins the race and stuff. But, thats not how the American system works. Its is a brute force shock and awe government that is not about the hearts and minds of the people. Never has been. This country is built on the foundation of conflict, winning, and the destruction of the enemies in as total a way as possible. Things must be done as Trump is doing them, and as terrible as I find it, its how the US has positioned itself to behave.
End of the day, this may be how all governments are, but I am admittedly ignorant and could just be rambling out my ignorant ass.
