Yeah, it’s Workday. It seems pretty straight forward it’s just frustrating that all I’m hearing is how intuitive it is and yet I have to sit through a 2 hour training.
The best part is no longer having to enter a time card if you’re salary. I never understood the point of that.
Speaking from experience, despite how intuitive SAP Concur is for expense reconciliation, some people just didn't listen to the instructions, and 2 hours still wouldn't have been enough to save them lol

Oracle Cloud is the worst IMHO
Transitioned to that from Taleo at a previous job. What a garbage heap. Given, Taleo was out of date as well operating on flash but Oracle could have updated it instead of the abomination they rolled out.
Our last day of work for the year is December 23rd, which is the same date as the Myrtle Beach Bowl (which is in our stadium). Kickoff is at an ungodly 11 am. The state of SC is very strict about how many holiday days you are get - they don't want us getting paid too often for not working!! Will they close that day and ask forgiveness later? Or force us all to take annual leave or the nebulous "make arrangements with your supervisor to make up the hours missed." We'll have to wait and see. My guess it's the latter, which my direct supervisor will wink wink and say I've made up the hours. I'm taking the day off regardless, but if I don't have to burn annual leave, I'd prefer that.
We have an extremely influential person retiring at the end of the year. The powers that be have yet to find a replacement for her, so she’s been informing folks that will be responsible for her work where all her information is stored and giving them access to all of her documents and forms. She’s also been spending the last couple of weeks telling folks to get their sh*t together. As someone who has their **** together, and shares her views on those that don’t, it’s been enjoyable to watch.
Friday is the only day I took off over the holidays (to extend my birthday weekend). I, too, have no motivation to work. I think it's because normally December is a quiet time in FedGov but for some reason our team was hit with conducting two different lengthy assessments this year. So instead of regrouping and recharging for next year, we have to perform in an inspection-ready posture while fewer and fewer people are on hand.
A senior leader sent a message reminding us to reward our employees for good work. We had ~650 people three years ago and we're down about ~120 of those through attrition, but we're still executing at the same level.
I interviewed for a position the week before Thanksgiving. The hiring manager just sent an invite for tomorrow to discuss the outcome. Not feeling too confident

holy crap, im getting an offer. the imposter syndrome is very real this time around. I'm at a manager level pay grade now, with no manager responsibilities.

When i read that initial post I thought "I don't think they're arranging a meeting to be all like "but here's specifically why we think you suck "".

Well? We’re waiting.
Turns out our school is playing their bowl game in their home stadium (weird). Regardless, the powers that be do not want us on campus that day so we get to "work from home" that day. Specifically, my boss said to check email a few times that day.

Congrats chief.
in my defense, I did ask for an update last week and if he could provide "feedback if the outcome was negative".
