Not paying taxes (since paid) and lying on a gun purchase that he wasn't doing drugs (when he was a crack head).

If his name was Hunter Smith he would have been fined and maybe given probation.

Hunter was convicted of either three or four federal firearms violations and separately pled guilty to I think nine tax evasion charges.

There's some weird factoid that Biden is the only criminal defendant charged in this history of the relevant statue without any other aggravating offense(s).

Biden should pardon the Jan 6 people before he leaves office. You know Trump is going to so why not. Take that away from him.

So, Hunter gets a blanket pardon from 2014 to 2024 of any crimes he was convicted of or may have committed. So much for no one being above the law.

Melania put it best, I really don’t care

Is it bad? Yep. Was he prosecuted because of who his dad is? Absolutely. Has the next guy threatened to exactly revenge on his detractors? Yessum.

This x1000. I’ll react like the GOP would if the shoe was on the other foot and how Michael Jordan reacted when a reporter said he only gets call because he’s MJ, “So what.”

If the Dems want any chance of rebounding they need to do more of this type of stuff and have a “so what” attitude about it.

To expand on this answer, most of these people should not be pardoned. Especially the ones who attacked police.

My guess is he'll pardon some but not all and there will be a backlash from the worst of the offenders who were, seemingly, told they would be pardoned. In general, some of the lies and misrepresentations from his campaign will come back to haunt him.

Next up, Sleepy Joe should preemptively pardon Alexander Vindman and Doctor Fauci. You know they will be targeted first thing post Inauguration.

I feel like we should really see a picture of Hunter’s dong before we start passing any judgement. Preferably in some sort of official setting. Like, sure, I could just go to Twitter and see it, but I want it printed on poster board and showed on cspan before I jump to any conclusions on the situation.

Sorry, those photos are all now in the private collection of the GOP for their viewing pleasure only (NTTAWWT).

To be honest, the only part of this that I don't like is the fact that Joe said over and over again that he wouldn't do this and now has decided he will. Beyond that... meh.

If any member of the GOP had uttered the name 'Hunter Biden' even once after July 21, 2024 I might care about it. But, they didn't, so I don't.

Yep. The dates of the pardon are clearly designed to cover all of the Ukraine/Burisma stuff, as well as the Chinese influence peddling. This is basically a tacit confession that all of the accusations that the Biden family was engaged crookeration in Ukraine are in fact accurate.

One would also note that Trump's first impeachment was based on allegations that Trump had tried to strong-arm Volodymyr Zelenskyy into starting criminal investigations into the Bidens and Burisma by threatening to withhold aid to Ukraine. By going back to 2014, Biden's pardon of Hunter includes any crimes related to Burisma. So Biden just pardoned his son for the crimes that underlied and set off Trump's first impeachment.
