Hey… guess who still hasn’t had a losing record as head coach of the Steelers…

Winning a shootout like this is super impressive actually. We all knew they can win 9-6. But to go out and win 44-38 when your defense isn’t at its best? That’s new.

They gave a stat that this was the most points scored by the Steelers since 2018

Sorry that the 49ers can’t do the Steelers a solid and beat the Bills tonight.

Great bounce back game from the the front. Granted the Bengals are not very good in the trenches, but needed something after getting handled at Cleveland last thursday.

I think the Browns on the road is different than the Browns at home on a short week, and expect a comfortable win (that obviously means something different for the steelers than any other franchise).

Bengals D is horrific, but Hendrickson is legit, and the kept him bottled up pretty much all game. Amazing what happens when you help your OT with a chip or two. Coaches, please note for this Sunday's game. Please.

Even when the defense is bad it's great.

Wilson is second in the league in pass yards per game. And fifth in rating. Wild stuff

Got about halfway through. Uncomfortable with the level of praise for scheme (Smith) and Wilson. Fear last week was a mirage.

Yeah, same. The Bungles defense is comically bad. Hopefully they'll continue to chip the edge rushers like they did against Hendrickson et al.

Either way I think it's accurate to say that Russ has cooked way better than most people's most optimistic predictions.

I thought he was toast when they picked him up. Turns out it was just the Broncos.

My guiding principle was always

1. The outside Pittsburgh world underestimated how terrible the QB / offensive situation was in Pittsburgh last year. (literally Mason Rudolph came in and after Pickett and Trubisky and looked like an all pro, people were fooled that this was an indication that Mason was a guy, but actually it was just a reflection on how abysmal his predecessors were).
2. Wilson's 2023 numbers were good, the amount of energy spent explaining away his production last year was wild. And even if those reasons were valid, that production is on an absolutely different stratosphere than what we've gotten, so I don't care how he did it.

So basically there's no way that our situation wasn't vastly improved through just shear Pickett / Trubisky ineptitude.
