Yeah, and I keep waiting for them to kill Fitbit. Although they've already killed Google Health/Fit or whatever it was called, so maybe they'll keep Fitbit around.

Also, as an Android user with nearly all of my immediate friends and family as iOS users, it's been fun watching them all upgrade to iOS 18 and get RCS messaging enabled. Nice blue text message bubbles, read receipts, even the ellipsis indicator when they are typing a response...ah, feels nice not to be a complete outcast.

I was wondering why my Verizon bill went up 5 bucks a month per line. What a crock.. I have been highly debating switching carriersDigitalGypsy66 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2024 7:34 am Verizon is reducing our Autopay discount by $5 a line (down from $10 a line) unless we switch to the new MyPlan tier or whatever.
So I look at it, and my 5G UW plan goes down by $4, we would keep the $5 discount for autopay, but as I predicted ITT - the Disney+ Bundle we've been getting for free is no longer free. That would be a discounted $10 a month. It's like 3 card monte.![]()

Yeah, it’s a shell game. I ended up switching plans and brought my hbo and max over to my Verizon bill with their bundle. So my Verizon bill went up $8, but I now don’t pay $18 for hbo and Netflix, so ended up being a net win for me.

Per the above, Verizon reduced my per line auto pay discount from $10 to $5, so my bill increased by $25. Kiss my ass ****.

Have you looked into switching plans for each line?RonnieFranchise wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2024 2:58 pm Per the above, Verizon reduced my per line auto pay discount from $10 to $5, so my bill increased by $25. Kiss my ass ****.

You have to switch plans for each line?

You don’t have to, but you can to lower cost. I have the less expensive plan for my daughter but they both qualify for the autopay discount.

Upgraded to a Pixel 9 Pro XL today to solve my 4000-page PDF problem. The 16GB RAM should take care of that. It should also run my Pilot software pretty well, my table is getting pretty long in the tooth.
The lame thing is the "XL" Pixel 9 is only about .3" bigger than my 4a 5g. I was hoping for a bit more screen real estate.

Regarding RCS messaging, why does nearly every message my wife (iOS 18 user) sends come through as an SMS but every message I (Google messages android) send her shows as RCS on my end? Is it cause her service is questionable at the office?DigitalGypsy66 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2024 7:40 am Also, as an Android user with nearly all of my immediate friends and family as iOS users, it's been fun watching them all upgrade to iOS 18 and get RCS messaging enabled. That hasn't been my experience. All have been RCS in both directions, especially after my 16 year old finally updated his phone from iOS 17. Could it be a setting on either phone?

I don't know what it is, it's my wife's phone and only her. Heck, I text my sister (iPhone 15) in the same office and it's fine with her too lol. I had her shut RCS off on her end. That seems to be where the issue is.
