Yearly check in. Stuffing is a garbage side. It’s either wet gross bread or dry gross bread.

Reminder to use a meat thermometer on the stuffing to ensure that it’s at least 165…

I pulled the turkey out when the deeper part of the breast was 140-145 or so. Really trying to not overcook that part this year

Did it get to temp? That seems low

It did... Worked out really well. Meat was very slightly pink and it stayed at 150 for a solid half an hour or so. I just let it rest for longer than usual.

I pulled ours out at 155 because I was worried about how long it was taking (originally planned for 150). White meat was pretty tender and not dry.

That said, my sweet potato casserole once again stole the show.

Nah, no marshmallows in this. Basically mashed sweet potatoes as the base, with a topping of chopped pecans, brown sugar, etc.

I’m still stuffed from last night, and I didn’t even go nuts with the food. Going to the movies in a few hours and will probably wind up not getting my usual pretzel bites, too.

When I pulled the turkey at 155, the stuffing was at 144. 10-15 minutes in the air fryer while the turkey rested was all it needed to come to temp and get rid of a lot of the mushiness you get with stuffing that is in the bird.
