I don’t see how this will improve our team in the next year and Sid and Geno don’t have much time left
Not that I don't get your point...but I don't really see this deal, in a vacuum, really impacting things too, too much. Not over the course of three seasons like you're dooming...

Maybe Sam Pou.....................heh, nevermind. But look, maybe we get a look at some young players and maybe that advances things with them a bit or we strike gold (er, copper) with one of them...

Eller had a decent start, he's been ok in the last handful...I'm not too worried about it. Maybe we can find a more consistent puck distributor in that slot and it opens up someone like Puustinen...
I get what you mean. It’s not like Lars would’ve been crucial in a playoff run or anything so losing him doesn’t kill us. But to me trading him for picks indicates that Dubas is more into rebuilding than retooling and the clock is ticking on our core’s career

out of curiosity, if you had to bet (even odds), do you think we’ve already seen the last playoff game for 87? I’d say yes at this point
I'm a value bettor, so since "yes" is the favorite (-110), I'd happily bet "no" (+100) - even odds can take a hike. Half the league makes it. Andrew Hammond had 24 games of fun and did a thing. It doesn't take too much...so, "no" we haven't would be the proper bet.
