Browsed some preseason power rankings.
The bottom tier is clearly established: Oakland, Washington, CHW, Rockies, royals. Then the pirates are usually the last team before the tanking tier.
Early returns, I think the Mets, marlins, and angels are all terrible and below the pirates. I think we need to see where the pirates stack up against the tigers, guardians, reds, and brewers. That’s I think they’re at

Might have been the camera angle, but when I was watching, I thought he might be getting squeezed a little by the ump.
But yeah, Skenes is amazing, this will be a playoff team at the latest next year.
