Mostly just **** that.
Maybe if you’re really good and playing a muni is too easy it’s worth it?

For Florida golf? Nah. Not sure I would pay that for Bay Hill, and that would mostly be for sentimentality's sake.

Only place I’d pay that much is Pebble.
That said, what’s the most anyone has paid for a round? For me, it was $100 at Sawgrass Stadium.

With caddie and tip, rounds at bandon were $425 each. I have zero regrets and would do it all again. And you all should do it too.

I paid roughly $380 or $390 for Harbour Town, including the caddie tip IIRC. Was worth it IMO.

Other than the Outer Banks I've never traveled for golf. So the most I've ever paid for a round probably happened at Totteridge or Iron Valley. I played Olde Stonewall with my veterans group but it was only $20.

I think I paid $300+ there.Only place I’d pay that much is Pebble.

I've actually never really paid that much for golf. Guessing my $200 at streamsong day plus 100 or whatever for caddy and tip would be it. But that was also for two rounds. Even divided by two would be my most expens round ever I think

There's a group here at work that has a yearly trip down to Virginia and/or NC where they play a week of golf. I've been asked to join a few times, and I might do so here in about 5 years or so when my kid gets to a point where she's pretty much completely self-sufficient.

I paid like 220 once when I played at Wild Dunes on Isle of Palms and had quite the sticker shock

I never heard that before. It's an all timer. And all my scramble teams will now be required to do stomach bumps for positive energy

I wonder how many shots it would take me on 17 at this course.
I know I could do it in one, but I’m thinking if I had to hit it 5 times, how many balls would I need? My guess is if I’m playing from the whites (115 yds), I’d need 9-10 balls to make 5 on.

My issue would be lack of spin. Especially once the green dries outI wonder how many shots it would take me on 17 at this course.

That distance is basically the max on my gap wedge, if the wind is in your face I would struggle with the distance. I would probably need to see the gap wedge come up short before clubbing up to PW, then have to make sure I'm not being too tentative.

oof this was brutal
I kind of dont like the concept of a 10 second rule because people take much more than 10 seconds on other shots (I’m looking at you and your waggles Harmon). It feels random

no but why is that magically different?
looks like someone typically has 40 seconds to hit the ball (it’s 60 seconds if you’re the first to putt or other unique situations): https://www.golfdigest.com/story/rules- ... hit-a-shot
that’s what I think it should be rather than 10 seconds arbitrarily
