My crappy $18 a month plan from Xfinity didn't miss a beat.

I wasn't affected, but with that kind of insult, I'll now take their $5.

Wonder if this will become a thing in the fast food industry. Surge pricing.

As someone who can afford things I welcome surge pricing so I don't have to spend 20 minutes in line at Wendy's.

Imo it won’t change the length of line at all. It will only change how much we all pay. I don’t think anyone is walking in, seeing and extra $2 for an order, turning around, getting back in the car and going down the road to Burger King. They’ll just suck it up and pay extra

Sounds like a fantastic decision by Wendy's then.

I can't remember the last time I ate fast food during what would be "peak" hours. It's usually around 10pm, somehow we missed dinner, and nothing else is open.

Yeah, what happened at Wendy's? The one on McKnight Road has become a 'no-go' if there is even 1 car in the drive-thru. We don't get fast food a lot, but my wife stopped there a couple months ago and was next car to order. It took her 25 minutes to get the food, and they were out of baked potatoes (I think). This was at like 2pm on a Wednesday. I've heard from friends the exact same thing, and it's even worse if you go inside. Is it staffing?

Our Wendy's went 'cash only' for a few days. Big nope from me.

We used to frequent Wendy's a lot when the kids were younger and playing lots of sports. 4 for $4 was a huge deal. Unfortunately, the handful of Wendy's that we used to go to - all over SC, including where we live now - have terrible service. This predates COVID, too. We've basically stopped going there because of the poor service. Food has been fine, but not worth 20-30 minutes in line or even waiting 15 minutes inside after using the app. Just weird, and not just one location.

Hardees in West Virginia is like that. Lobby closed, drive-thru only. I'm pretty sure it's just one guy doing everything in there.

Went to Hardees for the first time in decades last summer... massively disappointed. But it was in like ****, VA.

Well that's just punishment for going through VA and not hitting up Bojangles.

Had to be a staffing issue. I hit the one in Moon once in a while and I'm never in the drive thru for more than 3-4 minutes.Yeah, what happened at Wendy's? You know when Wendy's started going to **** down here (at least)? When they started offering breakfast. Not only is that a huge and competitive market, they have a mediocre product. I think they simply don't have enough staffing to open at 5 or whatever and remain open until 2am.
