The Pirates are not going to spend serious money. We go through this every year, they're going to find bottom of the barrel guys, once successful to see if they can capture lightning in a bottle.

Ryu should definitely be on the pirates radar but I’m thinking he’s juuuust good enough to be too “expensive” for the pirates (either in years or in $$$).
Domingo German might be an option too. But he will probably get 3 years or something
