Carter can't muscle his way out of a wet paper bag.

Yea and it can be fixed via a trade closer to the deadline. I hope Ty Smith plays well enough to put some pressure on POJ

I know Sully loves the lefty-righty thing with the defensemen. But when you've got two turds out there, it really doesn't matter. If your best 2 options are LHD, go with that.

Also, this team will live and die with the power play, and last period it hurt them. It doesn't always have to score, but it should at least put pressure on the opposing team. That abortion killed all the Pens momentum and Detroit scored shortly thereafter.

No one down the line is talented enough or foolish enough to handle board battles on their backhand all the time.

Jarry is, what, #1 or certainly top 3 in stick usage in the NHL today. He uses it more than almost anyone. This was so out of bounds for me, I had to go back and see if I missed something...this pass goes through the bottom of the circle, so it's way out of his territory. Also, he has an unmarked player coming in "alone" on him with a d-man allegedly covering his back side...if he's thinking much else there than shot, I'd be less than thrilled.

Likely not much happens there if P.U. Joseph wasn't stinking up the place. All due respect, OP, but nutso to think that's a Jarry stick play...

Jarry should’ve had that. Seemed a little off his angle.

Edit. Beetle shoved into him. Meh.

And that's why I'm asking because I watch his move there and he sticks his left pad out to try to make the deflection and his stick sort of drops behind him. If that's how a goalie would handle his stick on a shot situation, fine. I'm not in tune with how and when a goalie unleashes his stick whether it be by pokecheck or trying to stop a pass.

Who is up with us right now? Shea and Ludvig? Let's see what one of them can do, eh?

Not based on this game, I never really cared for POJ...if we could swap him for a RHS, I'd be interested in knowing those choices...
