Quite possibly the best live performance of Enter Sandman ever. Outside of Seattle 89, probably their live peak. Lars still with the big white kit, Jason with his headbanging and backup vocals, James looking he rules the **** world, and Kirk being kirk haha.

Also someone uploaded the full Pantera concert from Pittsburgh a few days ago. Gotta say Phil sounds amazing, and the rest of the band does as well. Kind of sad I didn't go. Great setlist too..only thing I would have liked to see would have been By Demons be Driven and Drag the Waters. Slaughtered live sounds incredible.

I've always liked In Flames' cover of **** Hostile more than Pantera's.

Pretty scary. I know heard some chatter that he seemed a bit off earlier in the tour, seems like a gd miracle he even was touring in the first place.

Damn. Glad he's on the mend. From what I've seen they've simplified a lot of the drumming so far in the tour but assumed it was due to his arthritis.

They mostly stuck to the set they had been playing at all the festivals, but they changed the encore from Yesterday Don't Mean **** to Slaughtered/Revolution is My Name, which was a MASSIVE upgrade.

Would've loved Drag the Waters... Don't think they ever played that when I saw them back in the day either.

Both bands were **** amazing. I would have loved to have Heaviest Matter of the Universe and L'Enfant Sauvage in the set list but it is what it is and the set list they played was phenomenal. Mastodon felt very much like a throwback set list and I would have loved some Once More Round the Sun in the mix, but they were absolutely incredible. Near nonstop for 75 minutes and rocked their asses off.

Yeah just got home. I knew Heaviest matter of the universe wasn't getting played based off of the recent setlists and that sucks.

With that being said getting The Art of Dying live was a fine tradeoff IMO. That song is probably my favorite Gojira track and it crushed live. Just incredible.

Gojira is just sonically on another level and so tight live. I couldn't tell who got wrecked in the pit since we were more in the center on the concrete but they stopped the show for a few minutes to help them.

I was never a huge Mastodon fan but they were incredible live. I was honestly hurting by the time they came on cause I headbanged straight through Gojira non stop but they had great energy and I really enjoyed what they played. Need to give their studio stuff another shot.

Just a perfect night weather wise too once the sun went down.

It was the opposite for me. I've been a Mastodon fan for years but Gojira took a bit of work. As someone with basically zero musical ability I'm always impressed/fascinated by what these guys can do, let alone do it on a stage in front of thousands of people night after night. Always been a huge Brann Dailor fan, but Mario Duplantier is truly something else. My brain has trouble comprehending what he's doing song after song after song.

No idea what the regular seats are going for, but the Fan Club presale was this morning and we got floor tickets... $157 after fees. This is an increase of more than $30 over the last time they were in town... Not sure how many more concerts I'll be going to at this rate.

Woof. I was already resigned to waiting until the regular sales date because I wasn't paying extra for the fan club access. How were seat prices compared to the floor?
