But seriously... So good

Rahm had an unusually bad round. Billy Horschel fixed the glitch and beat Fowler handily today. Fowler hit a provisional on the last hole.So Fowler came back from 2 down to beat Rahm. I know it's match play, but damn, I'm shocked and awed.

I like Fowler’s shirts. It looks like he’s gonna shotgun a Miller Lite after the turn

@Orlando Penguin, why am I not seeing Fowler in the Round of 16? He won two of three matches.

Because Horschel won 2 and tied his other match so he had 2 1/2 points in the pool play so he advances.

Cam Young, Scottie Scheffler, Sam Burns and one of Rory or Schauffle is a skillful final four

Amazing how the coverage has some shown less of the young match even though there is only one other pair on the course

Even with the loss I think he had a really good tournament. He seems to be back to competing at least, like Spieth.....I’m glad Jason Day is good again

Did they not show Kitiyama’s putt on 17?

Burns and Scheffler both his perfect drives on 18 but neither was able to reach the green. Goes to show how great that Rory drive was. He not only reached the green but flew it

Cam Young is gonna have a break out year. He was only a rookie last year but how he finished the Open Championship (driving the green on 18 and then making the eagle putt) was easily the best hole I've ever seen in person and if Cam Smith missed his birdie putt, Young would've forced the playoff, not Rory (who finished 3rd)
Young is gonna jump up with the top guys imo this season. I am guessing at least two wins this year (this might end up as one of them)

The difference could be as simple as a caddy. Scottie switched to Bubba's guy at the beginning of 2022 and that veteran leadership helped get him over the top. Cam Young started this week with Webb Simpson's guy and it's already paying dividends.Cam Young is gonna have a break out year. I really like Young's game but he seems like he takes himself way too seriously.

If you only have four golfers to cover all day, it's really chintzy to have any shots during 'Playing Through', let alone multiple. Really lazy.

Played what I consider my first round of the 2023 season yesterday (winter golf is different), and shot 81 at Pittsburgh national.
Got a kind of interesting feeling from the play, where I never really felt like I was doing well at all. I only hit two fairways and was left with the driver all day, but did bomb one at the right so that I was able to get on the last par 5 in two. Made up and down 4 times, but also three putt 5 times, so those basically cancel out.
Luckily while the driver was bad, I was never really out of a hole, except one time in the fairway bunker that made my double. But the whole, doesn't matter how good the good shots, it's how bad the bad shots are. And, my bad approach shots were always just either on the fringe or just off the green. So looking back, an 81 with 5 3-putts and at least 3 short missed putts for up and down, easily could have been a sub 80 round
