RIP Lisa Loring the original Wednesday Addams at 64.
When "Wednesday" hit Netflix I went down a bit of a rabbit hole re Loring.

- Her parents were both in the Navy and she was born on Kwajalein. (Which is about the size of a regional airport)
- She was married to a pr0n star called Jerry
- Through him she started a post-Hollywood career working behind the camera in adult films for like 10 years (doing hair and makeup, set decoration, she even wrote screenplays)

damn, apparently she both got married AND had a kid at 15 years old too. No wonder she went into porn

Found out that a family friend died yesterday, she was the mom of one of my son's best friends since preschool. Just a great lady. We'd known her for probably 18 years or so. You know what rumors are worth but what we've heard is she died of complications of alcoholism. We'd never seen alcohol at their home, never saw her drink, never seemed drunk.... It's just devastating. If true it really hits home how good some people are at hiding it.

She had two kids in college and one in high school. It's awful. No clue what to even say when we see her husband and kids.

Had the same happen with the mother of one my son's friends years ago. She was early 40's and always looked weirdly bloated. It all made sense when she passed.

I do not know this comic artist but clearly he was a good dude, may he rest in peace.

He's from Pittsburgh, a quick Google search revealed.

I’m guessing Austin Powers introduced Burt to most people in my generation (including me)

The list of songs he wrote, especially with Hal David but also with his ex wife, Carole Bayer Sager, is pretty incredible. You've heard them before.....

yeah was looking that up. Baby It's You, Raindrops Falling On My Head and I Say a Little Praye is a hell of a trio of songs to have written
