I think if it's true that Zegras said that - he's gonna get his time to deal with grief on his own, because he dad isn't going to live forever, but it's a zero impact on personal insult scale, like it wasn't even really derogatory.

The dad thing was twitter/reddit dinguses thinking they know how to read lips.

He did at least say/do something to earn a 10, but Craig Morgan said a source familiar with the scrum said it wasn't about Stecher's dad

Speaking of hockey Twitter being hell on earth, I guess we're celebrating Bobby hull's death because he violated some SJW code of conduct back before the internet?

In a 2010 interview with the National Post, one of Hull's few public acknowledgements of the allegations, he seemed to show little remorse. Asked if he is a different person in 2010 than 30 years earlier when many of the allegations were said to have taken place, Hull replied: "Same guy. Same guy with the same attitude toward life. You only pass this way one time, and if you don't have fun, you'll go to the grave, and you'll have missed a lot."

Hull's proximity to controversial comments is undeniable. In 1998 a Russian newspaper reported Hull as saying "Hitler had some good ideas. He just went a little bit too far…" when discussing his thoughts about genetic breeding because he felt the Black population was growing too rapidly. When asked about his comments and whether he is racist, Hull reportedly told the paper, "I don't give a damn. I'm not running for any political office."

Hull emphatically denied making the comments, insisting he was set up. He vowed he would sue the Moscow Times and the Toronto Sun — the first North American newspaper that reported on his interview. The cases were never adjudicated.
I mean, I don't know if that's an SJW code of conduct, but seems pretty substantial. I care zero about it, dude scored goals, previous generation yadda yadda

Crime In Sports did an episode on him. I listened a while back and when I heard today's news I was just "Hmm, okay." Not losing any sleep over it but not planning a parade either.

"Hitler had some good ideas. He just went a little bit too far." I'm not sure you can throw that in with the "SJW" thing. Guy was a scumbag who was very good at hockey.

I think he probably had some pretty rough opinions on things...but given that he's been so loose with his words over the years, the fact that he heavily disputes that he actually said that about Hitler gives me a little bit of pause that he actually said that...

A guy like that who literally doesn't care what he says, all of a sudden cares about that one particular thought...I don't know, I feel like that isn't where I'd direct my ire...but like, it's pretty easy to imagine him using the n-word more than once too...

Didn’t his wife also say that he beat her with a shoe? I don’t sit around thinking about Bobby Hull so like dodint I’ll neither mourn nor celebrate his death. But yeah, not a lot to like in his off the ice persona.

That's......pretty fair. I'm a little surprised Horvat didn't get a little bit more...but I don't think I care too much for Raty...

I'm slightly confused why NYI would do this. Not really sure it's a massive help this year, and absent signing him it feels like Lou Lam is making a move for the sake of making a move

I think they're in a funk and need a spark. They just changed coaches, so you can't go there. Lou is the GM, so you can't fire him or your family gets kidnapped. Not many teams can probably do this without Vancouver retaining (which they'll need on other deals)...so they get back a third liner (who they may try to move too) and basically two mid to late 1's...

The Isles probably look at this as giving up a B prospect and a late first and will probably be able to sign him...

The Athletic thinks the team pulled off a rare lose-lose deal here.
