Wow. A week before the season and you lose your main guy.

Dk seems to feel that you shouldn't like mitch trubinsky right now. Not even say there can be improvements

I can't think of too many worse things than having your wedding vows renewed at da Fan sponsored ceremony officiated by Crowley and Dickerson. My wife would kill me.

Whoever was filling in for MM yesterday wasn't terrible. I forget his name completely but he was way better than Crowley

I had no idea Dorin was Fan Morning Showing it full time now. He still working for the Penguins as well?
Pittsburgh Sports Media Thread
DK wrote a whole article yesterday saying how Mike Tomlin is going to stick with Mitch at QB, nothing is going to change, etc, etc, and then a few hours later, it is reported Tomlin is going to Pickett.
When DK gets stuck on something, man he goes all in.

I actually had to unfollow DK a few weeks ago because of his Pirates takes. Dude goes from 100% on-board with the Pirates being saved by GMBC, to now saying it's on fire. Just no interest in his reactionary trash anymore.

Between the Pirates stuff, this Tribisky stuff he's on now, and then downtown safety, he's become unbearable, and he was barely bearable before.

It boggles my mind that for $60 a year, the Athletic does not send reporters to all away games for the Pittsburgh pro teams. I guess you can cover a game watching at home and getting quotes from home team reporters? But yuck.

Was in the car long enough yesterday afternoon to hear < 90 seconds of Madden for the first time in months. What a miserable ****. I was a drive time listener for years; I don't know if his schtick just doesn't appeal to me anymore or if he's become that much more miserable and antagonistic, but what a wholly unappealing way to spend my time in the car.

I think he's become much more miserable. I used to listen daily, but now it's down to 5 minutes in the car every other day to pick my son up from daycare.
It's just more miserable - and every time I'm on he's railing about Kenny and the Steelers.

I listen to him before Pens games occasionally because he has some good interviews. His abuse the callers schtick was old 20 years ago, though.
People say “oh, I’ve met him in person, he’s a great guy in real life, his show’s an act.” I don’t doubt that at all, I just find it unlistenable..

I really like listen to Dickerson and Crowley on the FAN morning. Love the way the two interact and just enjoy them in general.

A few months ago, I almost purposely drove my car off the road after being subjected to the following (as condensed by me):I really like listen to Dickerson and Crowley on the FAN morning. Love the way the two interact and just enjoy them in general.
Dorin has no idea that the song "The Gambler" is essentially about a poker game
Crowley incredulous
Dorin then says he doesn't know who sings "The Gambler", and asks if its Willie Nelson
Crowley then has a complete brain fart and starts throwing out names - including Bob Seger
It takes way too long for Crowley to come up with Kenny Rogers
There were no winners that day.

I was gonna say I know I've occasionally seen him on the air more recently than 2010, but I guess that's what semi-retirement is.
