Depends how you groom them.

Was just out taking care of leaves. Was blowing them away from our fence and came across a perfectly dug hole...about 4 inches wide and angled down about a foot. Almost looked like something started burrowing a path under the fence, then got interrupted.
We have every critter you can think of that shows up in our yard, so I figured a fox, possum, or groundhog. Called my wife over to show her and turned the blower on to keep clearing the leaves, which revealed the leftovers of a large honeycomb. I had been searching for the source of the ground bees for about a month, but someone found it for me. Pointed the hole and honeycomb out to my wife and finished the yard.
We were just sitting here watching TV and she out of nowhere goes 'ooo I know who it was'. We have a big ol fat raccoon that we see from time to time. My wife saw her a few nights ago hanging out against the fence.
So thank you, my furry little masked friend. Ground bees can eff all the way off, so I appreciate your service.
