Just like we said when the Canadiens beat them in the playoffs. At some point the anomalies cease to be anomalies.

It's crazy to even think they could miss with this team. Haven't had this feeling before.

At some point you have to think that there is more to it then facing a hot goalie every game. Like maybe they cannot score.

Yeah, Mason played well today, but the Pens also flubbed some really good chances. Malkin and Spaling (?...not sure if it was him or Bennett) hit the post with wide open nets. Malkin had a tough angle, but still. Comeau flubbed 2 or 3 two-on-ones where Malkin got him the puck, and he just couldn't get a handle on it to shoot. I remember Kunitz fanning on a shot right in the slot, etc. There's some bad luck in there, but a "skilled" team should have scored more today.

I'm not sure what you mean here Pavel. A series from 5 years ago has little relevance to today's team IMO. If the point is that 87/71/29/58 (obv the latter did not play today) are chokey, I disagree.

Did you not think that the Canadiens series was one in which we carried more of the play, and were done in by goaltending, both halaks and at times maf's? I view it that way.

I thought we dominated most of today. Sometimes you just get unlucky. It's A bad time to get unlucky for this team, but I'll take the game they played today most every time.

When did the team become such b****** on the ice? No one seems to be able to control tempers, stupid penalties all over the ice.

Edit: didn't realize that wouldn't be censored ha

I like that HCMJ doesn't sound like a defeated man after a loss.

Makes me concerned he's losing it mentally. This team has been the Metro's dodints all year. Its embarrassing. He really needs to address that.

Some of them have been clunkers. Some of them have been games they outplayed the opposition but didn't get the result.

More along the lines of "we win that game/series... Times out of 100." We've heard that excuse so many times. At a certain time it ceases to be true, it ceases to be an anomalie and is more of a truth.

I don't know what "ceases to be true." They played than their opponents did yesterday -- do you agree? If so, the result is an "anomaly" in that in most instances, playing better than your opponent means you win.

If you agree we played better than Philly, I'm not sure what bigger point you believe losing yesterday makes.

Definitely don't do it in the media though.

Hopefully he is in the locker room though.

At this point, as with most of the time, I care most about the result, not the effort. They certainly can be related and will have different implications for how well we think the Pens will do in the future, but we're also running out of future.
