For whatever reason he was my favorite Steeler for a while. I might've met him at camp and being ~12 years old that was enough.

My grandmother passed this weekend. https://www.zrgfuneralhomes.com/obituar ... ituaryInfo
She was a wonderful old lady, who assembled blasting caps for various explosive devices after her time as a telephone operator. She'd gone mostly blind five to ten years ago, but still managed to get around. She had a massive infection Halloween of 2020, and took a big enough step back that nobody felt she was safe living on her own. So since January of 2021 she lived out here in KC with my folks, and after a period of adjustment she settled in nicely last summer. I'm extremely grateful that my kids got to see her more and experience a bit of her being herself on the daily, and even attended softball and football games to see the kids. She'd try to do puzzles with them on the floor, she fell in love with their guinea pigs when my parents babysit them while we were away, and would enjoy sitting on the back porch by the pool while they played. She expressed pure wonder when the B2's flew over for the house staging for fly overs at Arrowhead, and about the only experience they didn't get was the constant shoving of a $20 bill crumpled into your hand as you tried to walk out the door.
The last nine months though a serious of small strokes and seizures had made it clear that her body was not going to last much longer. In the end the decline was tough due to dementia and the cumulative damage. I'm glad she's at peace now, and so thankful we got one last summer in the sun.

damn. He was always my favorite character in Goodfellas because he seems to genuinely look out for his people despite being a boss. Also just really enjoyed him as an actor

Noooooooooo.... One of my favorites. He was a pretty cool dude. Lived in the Poconos for much of the last two or three decades.
