I've been to the Anheuser-Busch brewery twice. And it's on the way to Kansas City.

we were in St. Louis for 36 hours for a hockey tourney. we played hockey at whatever-the-Blues-arena-is-called-now, went to the budweiser brewery for a tour (free), went to the St, Louis zoo (free) and had some might tasty BBQ.I can't understand why so many of you have seen the gateway arch. What is in st Louis that you are seeing that thing

13 for that list.
I've seen the Grand Canyon from a plane, but that doesn't count.

seeing the Grand Canyon in person was magical. I learned very quickly (not the hard way) how some people fall to their deaths.13 for that list.

Things I wanted to do on my birthday: take the day off, golf, maybe have a few beers, hang out with friends after shooting a bad round.
None of those happened.
I've been flying solo at the office unofficially since March, so I kinda expected that I'd be spending the day in the office. Well at least I have the weekly golf league to look forward to tonight. Maybe have a few beers on the course if the golf games goes south. Wrong.
Things I am doing: sitting in my living room with the AC cranked, trying to find an allergy specialist who books appointments online while remotely patching servers.
Allergies punched me in the face as I was leaving in the office, which have been getting progressively worse this year. So between finding docs that aren't available and docs that are available but quite far away, I'm sitting here debating whether or not to book an allergy specialist that is 64 miles away but is available in less than 2 wks or roll the dice, call some local places, and hope there is better availability.

It was ~20% off tickets. And a $5 popcorn/drink combo. The popcorn was about the size of a brown sandwich bag, but whatever.Afaik it applies to all showtime tix and concessions.

He wasn't, but I'll keep that name in mind if I see it. The closest I could find was a doc in Saxonburg, which is about 64 miles from the JS residence. It is claiming an 1h 15 m drive, but I have a hard time believing that.Dr Pierre Dauby on the list? We took lil mac to him. and thank you everybody for the birthday greets. Although I would have rather been on the course, I think a night at home may have been what I needed. Not that I wanted to spent my evening remoted into the office, but it also allowed me to catch up on some stuff here.Happy birthday js.. Hope it got better.. Somehow
Now if I can somehow find an allergy specialist and get my migraines taken care of, it'll be the best birthday gift in recent memory. Was thinking about this last night, and maybe having that coughing/sneezing episode yesterday was what I needed. I've been blowing it off for awhile and telling myself "yeah, I need to book that sometime."

I just had a cherry Dr Pepper can with 0 carbonation in it whatsoever, despite being in a pack with properly carbonated cans.
I think I kinda like it.

So far, so good today.HBD youarejs! Hope things turn up.
Found an allergy specialist in town and only a week extended from the Saxonburg appt, so no hour+ trips for me. The only downside to that is that it's going to throw a wrench into vacation planning with the follow up appts, but I'm sure I can work around it. Worst case is either I cram two visits close or stretch them around the vacation.
Chiro visit went quite well and said he has good news that he'll go over on Friday. I'll assume that it's related to how out of alignment my hips were at one point and how everything is now well balanced, or at least I hope that's the news. When I started, I was tilted forward and I was six degrees out of alignment. Even doing something as a simple light jog was out of the question.
This whole falling apart in my 40s thing sucks.

Hopefully that works out, @iamjs
If that all falls apart, an ENT can do a lot of the same things an allergist does. It could be used as a stopgap if needed.

Thank you Verizon for calling my phone this morning to tell me that the brief Fios internet outage I had last night had been resolved. Twelve times. Plus three emails and four text messages. I had to put my phone on silent.
