Just got caught up... not a great season, but not bad either. I didn't even realize that it was a season finale after everything was said and done.

Yeah, not horrible, not even bad, just kind of ho hum. I do enjoy the regulars on the show - Mike is still the best.

4 seasons in, I doubt they'd want this show to go longer than Breaking Bad did, so hopefully they'll start to pick up the pace a bit.

Alright... last night's episode warranted bringing this thread back from the dead, imo.

I figured it was a coinflip. Wasn't sure which one it would be.

Also I was surprised they didn't do any black and white flash forwards during the first half of the season. The most tense scenes in the show have been those because ultimately we know who either survives or at least is a part of the story due to BB (like we know Kim somehow disassociates from Saul or dies) but Saul in the "modern" scenes is the only one whose fate is really a big question marj

Last night was the first disappointing episode in a long time... just filler fluff imo.
Better Call Saul
I refuse to believe that.

We’ll see. It might take us to some conclusion, some how, some way, but nah. Something was off about that episode. It will likely go down as the worst episode of the series, much like “the fly” from breaking bad.
Not only that, they changed the actor. I had no freaking clue who that guy was until I rewatched it.

I thought it already took us to some conclusion.

Ironically, I knew who Jeff was but didn't realize he was played by somebody else.
Better Call Saul
Same. Definitely a ho hum episode, but I assume it will have a purpose.
Better Call Saul
"will have"?

What purpose do you think that it lends to the story line? From best I can tell, it's just that Jimmy can still scam with the best of them and he fell back into it after being outed by the cab driver. Now he has the mutual destruct button between him and the cabbie.
There's 3 episodes left and I'd imagine a lot of story to get through up to when Jesse and Walt get introduced.

I think the purpose is to finish his story. Closure. I'd be surprised if they got back to Gene.
But maybe I'm wrong.
