Do that then can’t even finish games a month later. Life comes at you fast.

Yeah no way anybody could’ve predicted this. I thought the Pens may squeak out a win or two in a close low scoring game. But 14 goals in 2 games and chasing the likely Vezina winner in both? Unreal.Honestly, never would have predicted that. Thought the Rangers were going to punish them tonight. Sullivan will be in the Hall one day imo.

Shesterkin didn't wave to the Pens, did he? He made that "you're talking too much" gesture.

Agree on matheson, he's been a stud. Letang has actually struggled a bit so it makes mathesons play that much more important

When the Pens play that style of game the Rangers have no hope of keeping up with them. Dominate them, stay out of the box and eat a lot of spicy pork and broccoli. That was **** dominating.

Pretty amazing that Bowman's 23 playoff wins came in 2 seasons.

what’s different between this year and the last couple of years? puck luck?
I want to say “dey care” but why would they care this year and not against the Habs or Isles? this roster is effectively the same one as last year
we look like a genuine cup contender though

Styles are different. Habs and Isles play that muddy, defensive, trap-like snorefest and the Pens would get impatient to show off their skillz and every time they made a mistake, they paid for it. Add in some really putrid goaltending and it equaled first round exit. Rangers aren’t afraid to open it up and their defense isn’t exactly defensive. Pens can work set plays and cross-ice passes to their liking. How many Rust-Guentzel like goals did we see in the past 3 first rounds? Not many cuz the opponents always took them away.
